Viking Line Stockholm to Helsinki

 Viking Line Stockholm to Helsinki  |  Scandinavia  |  Transitioning from Sweden to Russia, I found the perfect way to do it, including a beautiful destination as Finland and Helsinki in between. So I took the Viking Line Cruise from Stockholm, Sweden to Helsinki, Finland. Almost a 14 hours voyage along the waters of the Baltic Sea, with some spectacular  views of the Swedish Archipielago, and the coasts of Finland.

Visit Finland, arranged a lovely Luxury External Cabin for me, which I must say was much better and comfortable than I would have expected. Full small bathroom, comfortable queen bed, two big windows, TV, Minibar (with two complimentary bottles of champagne, which I drank on my own) and complimentary WiFi access through out the voyage.

The vessel has over two full restaurants, one huge buffet area for dinner and breakfast, a cafeteria, two bars, a great free shop, a small casino and performing area. Most of the people I mentioned that I was taking the Viking Line, while in Stockholm, they all looked at me and said …” OH Carlos you are going to have a Boozy Cruise Experience…” Apparently this boats are very popular among Swedish, Finnish and Russians to come onboard drink and party. Well I must say that my experience was quite the opposite. Yes there was a lot of drinking involved, but not to an extreme that you would feel uncomfortable. Lots of families, and people around their sixties. Was very enjoyable and civilized.

Either way, if you are heading from Sweden to Finland, like I did or vice versa, a great way to transition, and I can help you get the tickets of course. Finally once you arrive to Helsinki, right off the cruise terminal, there is a Tram that for EUR 2 and 10 minutes, will get your right in the heart of Helsinki. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
