Victoria Falls Zambian Side

Victoria Falls Zambian Side  |  Livingstone, Zambia  |  During my tour across Africa, I made it to the Victoria Falls or the indigenous name   Mosi-oa-Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders). Victoria Falls are shared by Zambia and Zimbabwe, linked by the Victoria Falls Bridge. The whole volume of the beautiful Zambezi River pours through the gorges. David Livingstone gave the falls the name ‘Victoria Falls’ in honour of his Queen. While it is neither the highest nor the widest waterfall in the world, it is claimed to be the largest. Listed as World Heritage. Continue reading Victoria Falls Zambian Side

There is nothing more soothing and relaxing than having a Savanna Dry Cider while reading my new book “The Elephants Whisperer” and watching the sun hide in the horizon of Africa over the Zimbabwean trees. Welcome to Zambia and Livingstone

Welcome to Zambia and Livingstone  |  Livingstone, Zambia  |  Yesterday I arrived to Zambia, after a one hour and forty minutes flight from Johannesburg on South African Airways. Livingstone is where you fly into, if you want to have a great Victoria Falls experience. Either Zambia or Zimbawe are the places to visit, but we chose Zambia, because I wanted to check The Royal Livingstone Hotel, which by the way I have to say has gone above and beyond any expectations. Check with you travel agent, but most nationalities can get their Visa to enter to Zambia right upon arrival to the Livingstone International Airport. Malaria Pills checked one stop closer to Africa

20110823-034528.jpgMalaria Pills checked one stop closer to Africa  |  Africa |  Following with my upcoming trip to Africa, I am following all the prophylaxis recommended by me local tour operator in the area, backed by my doctor. So I have got my Malaria pills for my trip coming in two weeks. For those not familiar with this drill, as it happened to me, there are several options available, pills you take once a week, pills you take everyday and else. My doctor recommended I would go with the daily pills treatment – Doxycycline Hyclate 100 MG. In the US the cost for 30 pills is approximatelly USD 35. Usage: You are supposed to start taking the first dose one or two days prior arrival to an area where you may be exposed to malaria. Then while at the the destination, and four weeks after your departure. Hope you all find this info helpful and useful. More Africa to come soon. Be smart, stay safe.!!! CM
