Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco

Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco  |  Saint Martin, The Caribbean |  Have lunch on the top of the trees, yes literally. That is what they told me, and I was OK… I have seen enough in this life so nothing quite surprise me anymore, but at the same time I always end up being surprised THANK GOD or life will become too boring right. Love to be outdoors connecting with nature? Or are you a daredevil and love extreme sports? Well there they have them both! Loterie Farm is a secret hideaway nestled in the hillside of Pic Paradis on French Saint Martin where you can wine, dine, climb, hike and glide over the treetop canopy. It is truly an eco-tourism and gastronomical experience you’re not likely to forget or find elsewhere. Shame on me, I only had lunch ha ha ha and a few local drinks.  Continue reading Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco

GPS Carlos Melia heading to Saint Martin

GPS Carlos Melia heading to Saint Martin  |  Saint Martin, The Caribbean  |  Last minute. So much for my quiet time at home in New York. Here we go again, and this time work will take me, one more time, on a glamorous commission in The Caribbean for Orient-Express. Invited by La Samanna by Belmond, I am heading off, this Wednesday for three nights, to Saint Martin in The Caribbean, for the first time. I am not the biggest fan of The Caribbean, but being the proximity to St Barth – destination that I do enjoy very much, I am open to give it a try and be surprised. Looking forward to explore the French side of the island. Will be reporting everything here so stay tuned.  Continue reading GPS Carlos Melia heading to Saint Martin

Le Sereno Beach Hotel in Saint-Barthelemy

Le Sereno Beach Hotel in Saint-Barthelemy   |  St. Barth, French West Indies  |  It has been a while since I left St. Barth, and since then I have been craving for more and more. As I have mentioned several times, I am not a huge fan of The Caribbean, but St. Barth has fully got me and captivated me. Plage de Saline is to my own ranking, one of the most amazing beaches I have been in my life. And of course, a great destination has to be matched with an outstanding hotel, and I found the perfect match for such an idyllic destination, Le Sereno Beach Hotel, located at the picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac. GPS Carlos Melia at Le Sereno Hotel Saint Barthelemy

GPS Carlos Melia at Le Sereno Hotel Saint Barthelemy  St. Barth, West French Indies, Caribbean  |  So this morning I left freezing New York City and arrived on the early afternoon to this idilyc French Caribbean island of St. Barth or Saint Barthelemy. I will be speding here the next 3 nights, hosted by Le Sereno Hotel and MJL Select Hotels. Only 40 minutes flight from San Juan of Puerto Rico and 4 hours and 30 minutes from New York City. The perfect week or weekend winter gateaway. The easiest way to enjoy the best of both worlds, the class – style – service  and cuisine of France, matched and combined with the flavor – sexyness and warmness of the Caribbean. I must admint, to be true to mysled and those who have heard me over and over the years, I have never been a huge fan of the Caribbean, but in all fairness I must admit that the West French Indies, have left me spechless. Nevertheless, still 3 more exciting days ahead to pronounce my final veredict. Continue reading GPS Carlos Melia at Le Sereno Hotel Saint Barthelemy
