Drinking CHICHA at the Markets of Ollantaytambo

CHICHA at the Markets of Ollantaytambo  |  Urubamba, Peru  |  Chicha is a term used  for several varieties of fermented and non-fermented beverages, many derived from maize, sometimes flavored with different fruits and vegetables. Some also have it with alcohol. Mine was non-alcoholic made out of Quinoa. I came to Ollantaytambo in the Sacred Valley, and asked Abel, my local guide, to take me to the market to try original homemade Chicha. And here you go. Was sweet enough and tasted great. Follow my Instagram Peru Photo Gallery for more tips, photos and videos.  Continue reading Drinking CHICHA at the Markets of Ollantaytambo
