Tales of a day exploring Berlin | Berlin, Germany | This was our first day exploring Berlin. This was my third time in the city, which I knew well, so I took Rubin and our friend Fred, around for a quick tour of the essentials and highlights of the Berlin. We visited the Brandenburg Gate, the Parliament, Checkpoint Charlie, the Berliner Mauer and some museums. Later we checked into our hotel, the lovely Hotel de Rome by Rocco Forte, and that night we came to the trendiest spot in the city, the Das Stue Hotel, to enjoy a wonderful dinner at CINCO by Chef Paco Perez. Enough for a day, after a long 8 hours flight on Air Berlin, and a full day exploring the city, and saving energy for a long week ahead over New Years Eve with friends from around the world in Germany. New Years Survival List to Berlin | Berlin, Germany | We have decided to spend our New Years Eve with friends from around the world in Berlin this year, and I have been doing some research on the NYE Survival List for our time there. This is not my first time there, but it has been a year since my last visit, so I have used the expert help and recommendations of friend and colleague Henrik Tidefjaerd with Berlinagenten. We will be staying at the stunning Hotel de Rome by Rocco Forte Hotels, where I have stayed before and loved it. Anyhow, I will be doing a quick trip to Berlin next week, invited by Air Berlin to try and review their brand new Business Class. A Press Trip to Germany for 5 days which will include Berlin, Dresden and culminates in Dusseldorf for the unveiling of their special holiday livery aircraft. The trip is all about holiday traditions Germany and will visit where nut crackers are manufactured, learn how to prepare a holiday meal and some other exciting events. But back to the main purpose of this post, find below the NYE Survival List to Berlin. Hope you enjoy it and if you see me around, stop and say HI and Happy New Year. !!! BTW for those of you that do not get the photo above, is me right on the line where the Berlin Wall used to be. Continue reading New Years Survival List to Berlin
