Afternoon exploring Old Bagan and Ananda Temple | Bagan, Myanmar | Off the luxury and comfort of Belmond Road to Mandalay for an afternoon exploring Old Bagan and Ananda Temple, which ended on a marvelous Sunset gazing over the Archeological Site atop a Pagoda. First we took the small boats off our luxury cruiser, and to the banks of the Ayeyarwady River and a private bus took us to the entrance of Old Bagan. From there we went on a full visit of the Ananda Phaya or Ananda Temple. See and follow my full Instagram Photo Gallery on Myanmar Continue reading Afternoon exploring Old Bagan and Ananda Temple
Early morning giving alms to Buddhist Monks in Mandalay | Mandalay, Myanmar | As we docked in Mandalay, marking the end of our 4-nights voyage along the Ayeyarwady River, I think this was my absolute favorite on/off-board experience during my luxury river cruise crossing from Bagan to Mandalay onboard Belmond Road to Mandalay. Early morning watching Mandalay come to life, on our way to Give Alms to the local Buddhist Monks. Continue reading Early morning giving alms to Buddhist Monks in Mandalay

Life aboard Belmond’s Road to Mandalay Luxury River Cruise | Myanmar | Last October 2015, I spent two weeks traveling across Myanmar. My journey began in Yangon, and took me to Bagan, to board the luxury river cruise Belmond Road to Mandalay. An unforgettable journey, curated to perfection by the local Belmond team, of four nights, sailing along the Ayeyarwady River, with daily stops and tours, which included among other, Mingun, home of the world’s largest uncracked bell, Mandalay and Sagaing Hills with its beautiful pagodas and thriving community of Buddhist monks and nuns, sunset visit of U Bein Bridge among many other off and onboard experiences and activities. My day transitioning from Yangon to Bagan preparing for the journey of a lifetime | Yangon to Bagan, Myanmar | My day began very early at Belmond Governor’s Residence, my hotel in Yangon. 5AM our bags should be at the door of our rooms to be collected. Was time to say goodbye to Yangon and move to our next destination, Bagan where we would boar our luxury boat Belmond Road to Mandalay, our home for the next 5 days, on our voyage along the Ayeyarwady River, to our final destination Mandalay. But before that could happen, lots of things were planned for our day transitioning from Yangon to Bagan.
