Grosvenor House Hotel by JW Marriott

Grosvenor House Hotel by JW Marriott  |  London, UK  |  To be honest when we left the St Pancras by Renaissance to move to our new hotel the Grosvenor House Hotel in Mayfair, I didn’t have much hopes and expectations about it, other than being in Park Lane, and more centric to London’s happening. And by the end of our stay, I was beyond satisfied with our experience and I would keep this hotel as one of my future options while visiting or sending clients to London.  Frequented by royalty, celebrities and business leaders since its opening in 1929, the historic Grosvenor House became a JW Marriott Hotel in September 2008 at the culmination of its restoration.
Set in Mayfair near museums and landmarks, grand department stores, West End theatres and businesses, our 5-star hotel’s London location boasts quick access to top area dining, shopping & attractions. Unfortunately , based on a busy agenda or work, friends and fun, we were not able to explore much the hotel, other than our lovely suite, the breakfast room and most of the lobby/common areas. A pending for the next visit. But what I saw, was enough to draw me back to them once again in the near future.

Our Junior Suite, I would define it as approachable elegance that extends throughout richly appointed suites. Grosvenor House Suites are intuitively designed with a master bedroom of either queen or king and a separate living area. Try the luxe JW Marriott sleep package, with soft Egyptian cotton linen, down mattress topper, duvet and soft pillows for a comfortable and sound nights’ sleep. Classic marble bathrooms feature hairdryer, robe, slippers and Penhaligon’s amenities so guests can feel revitalised.
The imposing Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane in the heart of London has a distinguished, glamorous, and aristocratic pedigree stretching back nearly 350 years. Situated in Mayfair and overlooking Hyde Park, the hotel owes its prestigious location to one of the most lucrative inheritances in the history of urban real estate. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

34 Restaurant Park Lane London

34 Restaurant Park Lane London  |  London, UK  |  Just woke up from a long fun night out in London, where do we go, where do we go…. that it is not far from our new hotel, the Grosvenor House Hotel Park Lane, and the telephone rings, our friend John on the other side with all plans made, literally saved by the bell. Jump on the taxi on a rush of time and hunger, ha ha ha and two embarrassing and 4 pounds later, we arrive to 34 Restaurant. Local with touches, surprisingly, of Argentinean touches.
Head Chef, Paul Brown has developed an eclectic menu, using the grill not only for beef, but also for seasonal game, fish and shellfish. Located just off Grosvenor Square (entrance on South Audley Street) in the heart of Mayfair. Burned orange banquettes, oak parquet and a colourfulcontemporary art collection give the room a warm and inviting look, highlighted by the bespoke charcoal grill in the open kitchen. The grill, also known as a parrilla and fed by natural fuels, was custom-made and imported from Argentina.

My choices were: Fillet of Seat Trout with grilled asparagus, broad bean, & sorrel relish (£ 21). But my dessert was a BOMB, Lemon meringue bombe (£ 10). Lovely option John, right on spot and location. Should we walk back to our hotel ? just kidding.  Find out more at www.34-restaurant.co.uk. Bon Appetit.!! CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
