Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia

Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia by www.carlosmeliablog.comCathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia  |  I just got back to New York after two amazing weeks in Asia, producing fashion shows and events for my partner, RUBINSINGER, in Singapore and Thailand. We flew from/to New York to/from Hong Kong, connecting to Singapore, on Cathay Pacific Business Class. It was such a great, relaxing and enjoyable experience. Their attentive flight attendants are always nearby to make sure your journey is a pleasant one. New Business Class experience for a total flight time was 16 hours to Hong Kong, with a brief connection of less than two hours, and then onwards 3 hours and a half to Singapore.  Continue reading Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia

OpenOpenSkies BEST Non-Stop New York / Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.comOpenSkies BEST Non-Stop New York / Paris  | Paris, France |  Hi there everyone. !!! I am back. I took a few weeks break from work and the blog, and ran to Paris to assist, my partner Rubin Singer during Paris Fashion Week 2014. Lots to share, kiss and tell. Fabulous hotels, restaurants and tips, so we need to catch up indeed. But on this trip I got to experience for the first time OpenSkies by British Airways. I have used this airline in the past for clients and they all raved about it, so I decided to give it a try, and I must say I AM OBSESSED with it.  Continue reading OpenSkies BEST Non-Stop New York / Paris

LAN designs new VIP Lounges

LAN designs new VIP Lounges  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  LAN keeps growing, reengeneering  and becoming more sophisticated, leading as the best airline in South America. Example of this, is the current process of designing its new VIP Lounges.
Moving away from under the wings of the American AirlinesAdmiral Club Lounges, partner in the OneWorld alliance, now LAN has its own VIP Lounge. I had the chance to experience this myself, yesterday at the brand new VIP Lounge located at EZEIZA International Airport in Buenos Aires, Argentina, at the new recently inaugurated Terminal B.
Studio Putman, in collaboration with noted Chilean architect Mathias Klotz. Comfortable, spacious, impeccable service and lovely food and beverages spread. Located in between gates 9 and 10. My favorites, the Louis Roederer Brut Premier Champagne branded for LAN. The showers, although EZEIZA is not an airport known for connections.
I was able to access since I was flying LAN Business Premium Class, but this lounge hosting a maximum of 146 people, can be access by all those passengers flying Business or being Zafiro/Emerald on OneWorld. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

GPS Carlos Melia on my way to Peru

GPS Carlos Melia on my way to Peru  |  Peru  |  On my way to Peru from New York City, of course onboard LAN Airlines, the flagship airline of South America. Way to go LAN, instant upgrade to Premium Business Class and free cocktails at the Admirals Club, in JFK International Airport Terminal 8, that is what I call a brilliant start. I will be flying within Peru from Lima to Cusco also using the domestic services of LAN. Full review to come. See you all tomorrow in Peru. A full week ahead exploring Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley and the amazing Machu Picchu. After this trip I have completed my 2012 Travel Bucket list, and after over 38 years of traveling around this beautiful world of us, and 3 times around the globe counting for the fourth, there is not much left to see…. ha ha ha just kidding, there is plenty and already putting together my 2013 Travel Bucket list. Visa and Health Information

Visa and Health Information | by Carlos Melia | Have you ever been in the situation of having to travel to a foreign remote country, and having to spend hours browsing the web and reading tedious documents trying to just get a final – updated and official word of if either you DO or DON’T NEED a Travel Visa whether you are traveling for pleasure, business or else. ? Well now technology, internet and applications have made it much easier, even Travel Agents and Experts like me. Over a few of the resources I have used over the last few month, either for me own travels or for clients, I find the following the most accurate and easy to use.
oneworld – Visa and Health Information page is a very complete and easy online resources. Complete the form for information on travel documents and health warnings for your travel destinations based on your personal details.
Travel Visa Shake for iPhone (USD 0.99 on iTunes) is a great application for your smartphone. Want to know if you need a Visa to travel to a foreign country? You may also check your Visa status for traveling to other countries by using our Visa “widget.” To find out if you need a Visa to travel to a foreign country simply choose your country of origin and the country to which you wish to travel and shake your phone. If no visa is required the result will appear in green. If a visa is required, the result will appear in red and you can simply click the link provided to where you can apply for your visa on-line. It’s easy!
Travisa is the FREE Application options. The only problem is that currently this only provides information for those native from: United States, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, United Kingdom. With the Travisa Visa App for iPhone®, you can access detailed information on travel visa requirements for over 200 countries and passport services directly on your iPhone, even when you don´t have internet access. The Travisa Visa App is great for frequent international travelers and international travel managers who need to know country visa requirements fast, and don´t want to wait until they have computer internet access.

So no more last minute surprises. Believe me this morning I almost die of a heart attack when someone told me I needed a VISA for my upcoming Monday trip to The Philippines. This online/offline resources and applications prove him wrong and gave me the peace of mind I need to begin my trip. CM
