VIP Gala Dinner 45 minutes out of Paris curated by Carlos Melia | Paris, France | One of the many services I offer to my clients worldwide, is producing event and weddings. Here an example of the last event I hosted 45 minutes outside of Paris, to end our VIP French Open Roland Garros Week to a very select group of executives. The Gala took place at a lovely Chateau, located in the district of Bouffemont, which we privatized fully. Sunset cocktails at the outdoor terrace, gala dinner indoors with live performances and band, which included among others, an impersonator of Edith Piaf. A lovely soiree and the perfect curated end to their trip. Here other experiences I also created for this same group: Sunset sailing and dinning along the Seine River. Private off-hours visit to the tower of Notre Dame. Guy Savoy Restaurant at La Monnaie de Paris. Private visit to Louis XV and XVI’s Apartment, Behind-the-Scences tour of the Eiffel Tower… among many others. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com
Eiffel Tower behind-the-scenes tour by Gustave Eiffel | Paris, France | Most of us, that have been to Paris before, have like other many millions, gone to the top of the Eiffel Tower. Now, there are other sides of this iconic landmark to explore, living an off the beaten track experience of the Eiffel Tower like you’ve never seen it before! and after that, enjoy a fast track access to the top of the tower, to enjoy panoramic bird eye views of Paris. This is what I planned and curated for my recent VIP Group to Paris, being that I had a mixed crow of first timers and regular Paris visitors in my company. (Re) discover the Eiffel Tower by the hand of no other than Gustave Eiffel. Continue reading Eiffel Tower behind-the-scenes tour by Gustave Eiffel
Private sailing and dining in Paris along the Seine River | Paris, France | One of the experiences that I curated and hosted for my recent VIP Group to Paris for the Roland Garros French Open event, was a private sunset sailing along the Seine River, which included an outdoor cocktail, followed by a 3-Courses Gourmet dinner by Lenôtre. We were picked up at our hotels Le Bristol, and driven for 10 minutes to their Terminal/Lounge to board our private boat, the ACTE III. Not much more to say, so I will let you enjoy the photos and judge by them. All I can add, is that our sailing was supposed to end by 10PM, and guests were enjoying their time so much, that we decided to extend for another 2 hours to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle right from the heart of the Seine River. This was not my first time doing a Private Sailing in Paris along the Seine River. I have done it a few times before, but on a smaller scale and more private. See my post on Private Champagne Sunset RIVA Sailing along the Seine River. BTW Post today July 14th 2015 in honor of Bastille Day. HAPPY Bastille Day. Private Visit of King Louis XV and XVI’s private Apartment at Chateau Versailles | Versailles, France | Many of us have been to Chateau Versailles countless times, at least I have, but how many of you have had the chance, to separate from the crowd, to visit the former private quarters of King Louis XV and XVI. During my recent visit, I was able to do so, on a private tour. Below are all my photos of my visit, plus some more of the Chateau Versailles itself. Read my previous posts on Chateau Versailles and Ville Versailles. Contact me if you would like to book this exclusive tour, same as my experience at Cathedral of Notre Dame. Hope you enjoy this post. Continue reading Private Visit of King Louis XV and XVI’s private Apartment at Chateau Versailles
Guy Savoy at La Monnaie de Paris | Paris, France | It might as well be the hottest restaurant and gourmet experience to have in Paris as of today. Everyone is talking about it, but unfortunately, not many like me, have yet had the pleasure to try it. Reasons why ? Well Guy Savoy at La Monnaie de Paris, has opened its doors only a month ago, and since then, carrying with his prestigious reputation and its 3-Michelin Stars, has been sold out and it will be for several month ahead. Not for nothing online bookings have a penalty fee of EUR 300 per person for reservations granted and not honored or for cancellations within 24 hours prior to your dinning experience. Following the steps of Victor Hugo and Hunchback at Notre Dame | Paris, France | During my recent visit to Paris, coordinating a VIP Group for the Roland Garros French Open, one of the unique experiences I curated for the group was a private after hours tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral and the towers, including the iconic Bell Tower. So at 7PM we arrived to Notre Dame. While doors remain closed and tourist were outside snapping pictures, we walked through the side doors on the left-hand side of the facade, Rue du Cloître Notre-Dame, into the towers and off we went on a journey of over 401 Steps, following the path of Victor Hugo and the Hunchback.
