Hotel Raphael Paris

Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.com Hotel Raphael Paris  |  Paris, France  |  I am still catching up with my last two month of extensive travels, and this time I am reporting on my recent visit to Paris during Fashion Week and my one night stay at the FABULOUS Hotel Raphael Paris member of LGTNetwork and Leading Hotels of the World. I mean, if we talk about style and old traditional charm. and we combine it with these three words Location Location Location, then click your hills Dorothy because you are in the heart of Paris, at a true heritage Parisian hotel. I fully get it, not the style everyone enjoys nor appreciates. It is not modern, it is stuffy and rococo, and I have to say I LOVE IT. This is my type of hotel when I want to have my true vivre dans le luxe European experience.

We were hosted at one Junior Suites. Epitome of the art of living in a hotel with luxury services and offer uniquely exclusive charm in a majestic setting. These unique suites boast Louis XV- and Louis XVI-style furniture and roomy wardrobes in mahogany and oak. A wood-carved archway and matching curtains partially separate the living room from the bedroom. Approximate surface area: 60m2. The living room is separated from the bedroom by a wood-carved archway. Roomy wardrobes. Marble or tiled bathroom. Separate shower (on request). Double bed or twin beds (extra bed on request). This category of room can interconnect with other rooms on request. See my Video of the Junior Suite.

But true to their level of excellence, Mademoiselle Bruna, was welcomed and treated like a princess, with her own plush bed, water bowl and some extra amenities. They even offered the service of have a Dog-Sitter, in case we would need it. She was granted access to all areas, including the breakfast room in the morning. GOD I LOVE FRANCE.

We were there only for one night, so my report is basically on the outlets and services I got to experience during my stay. A five-star hotel on Avenue Kléber, just a few streets away from fashion boutiques and museums, the Raphael offers quintessentially French luxury. A luxury hotel in Paris since 1925. 36 suites. 47 guest rooms. A gourmet restaurant. The english Bar. Roof terrace with panoramic views of Paris. Fitness Area. Business Centre, and my favorite feature and global allies, Les Clefs d’Or ‘Golden Keys’ concierges.

I enjoyed a few Coupes de Champagne and one or two Filthy Vodka Martinis there. The English Bar’s cozy, intimate mood recalls a London club. It’s an ideal spot for a quiet chat over a drink at any time of the day or evening. Subdued lighting, wood paneling and armchairs upholstered in red velvet… The epitome of luxury, tranquility and elegance.
Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.com Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.com Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.com Breakfast was served at the stunning room of The Raphael Restaurant by Chef Amandine Chaignot. The décor at the Raphael Restaurant is a sophisticated blend – a designer-chic ambiance allied with historical traditions. The immaculate white of the walls, the grey upholstery of the chairs and the aubergine hues of the curtains all combine to create a warm and cozy atmosphere.

During the warm season, you can enjoy their pop up restaurant, only matched by the beauty of the panoramic views.
Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.com Hotel Raphael Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.comHotel Raphael Paris, defines me and my style so deeply that I cannot even forgive myself for only spending one night there, but I look forward to come back on our next visit to Paris, and then make some time to try their gourmet offer at The Raphael Restaurant. My night experience in Nice

My night experience in Nice by www.carlosmeliablog.comMy night experience in Nice  |  Nice, France  |  Dinner last night at Regence private Restaurant at Le Negresco Hotel  in NiceFrance was just outstanding. Private room just for our group with an exquisite menu and selection of wines. You should try either this restaurant, or Chantecle or La Rotonde (which BTW is so kitsch and camp that at the same time is fabulous. You will literally be eating in a carrousel), both at the same property. Continue reading My night experience in Nice

Le Negresco Hotel unexpected Palace

Le Negresco Hotel unexpected Palace  |  Nice, France  |  If we talk about traditional hotels that exude luxury and charm, well I would risk to say the Le Negresco Hotel in French Riviera is on the top of my list. The minute you walk by the door and enter the lobby of the hotel, a fairy tale of sophistication unfolds. Le Negresco first opened its doors on January 8th, 1913. The hotel, designed by Henri Negrescu, immediately attracted a brilliant international clientele, Kings of the old and the new world. Jeanne Augier is the guardian of this myth. Owner of the Palace since 1957, this great lady – with deeply-rooted convictions – has devoted her life to the preservation and the development of this unique heritage.  Continue reading Le Negresco Hotel unexpected Palace

Hotel Check IN Le Negresco Hotel

Hotel Check IN Le Negresco Hotel  |  Nice, France  |  Today after a fabulous stay in St Tropez for two days, I returned to Nice, which in many way is a smaller version of Paris. Same as two days ago, I checked IN at the lovely and chic, but veryyyyy eclectic Le Negresco Hotel. An institution in the city, known unanimously to be the best hotel in town, and I fully second that. I was here 4 days ago, when I got this stunning Suite overlooking the Promenade de Anglais, and the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. This rooms have been renovated and modernized with some pop touches.  Continue reading Hotel Check IN Le Negresco Hotel

Hotel Check IN at Pan Dei Palais Saint Tropez

Hotel Check IN at Pan Dei Palais Saint Tropez  |  St Tropez, France  |  Located over Rue Gambetta only three blocks away for the promenade of the Port of St Tropez, and surrounded by chic stores and lovely restaurants, this small boutique hotel by Relais & Chateauxfeatures 10 suites, a Thai/Indian/French fusion restaurant and a beautiful outdoor lounge next to the heated pool at the back garden. Near the “Place des Lices” in the old town of Saint-Tropez, a stone’s throw from the port and its legendary addresses, a finely carved wooden door invites you to enter the Pan Deï Palais.

I arrived this afternoon from Nice to St. Tropez, on board of the Bateauxon a very easy commute, and even easier walk from the ferry station to the hotel.  Welcome to this warm and inviting setting with ornate wood carvings dating back over a century and many different objects from Asia. Serenity and escapism come together within a tranquil intimacy, making for a totally unique and relaxing getaway. The hotel overall has, same as the tales of St Tropez and big Thai / Indina fusion combined with the classic French style.

My suite is very comfortable and spacious, featuring double closets, a working area, and a huge bathroom with double sinks, shower and bathtub. I was lucky to get one of the pool/garden view suites on the first floor, with lovely views. In shelters of inquisitive looks, enjoy complete relaxation and unexpected tranquillity around the pool, right at the heart of the busiest village on the Côte d’Azur.

I will be posting more about this property upon check you. Special thanks to MJL Select hotels for arranging this stay at Pan Dei Palais for me. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

Le Sereno Beach Hotel in Saint-Barthelemy

Le Sereno Beach Hotel in Saint-Barthelemy   |  St. Barth, French West Indies  |  It has been a while since I left St. Barth, and since then I have been craving for more and more. As I have mentioned several times, I am not a huge fan of The Caribbean, but St. Barth has fully got me and captivated me. Plage de Saline is to my own ranking, one of the most amazing beaches I have been in my life. And of course, a great destination has to be matched with an outstanding hotel, and I found the perfect match for such an idyllic destination, Le Sereno Beach Hotel, located at the picturesque Grand Cul-de-Sac.
