Willful six hours layover in Milan in full style and luxury | Milan, Italy | I was invited by Emirates Airlines to try their new non-stop flight from New York to Milan, Italy on their Business Class, so I decided to pit together a 10 days itinerary exploring Italy, which took me to my first visit to the Amalfi Coast, onwards to yet another lovely visit to Venice and to London, aboard the overnight luxury train Venice Simplon Orient-Express. Since I have not been in Milan for quite sometime, I’ve decided to take a suite for the day at the gorgeous Mandarin Oriental Milan, and explore a few higlights, after a lovely and relaxed lunch. Here are my comments, photos and videos. Hope you enjoy my post on this experience. A matured comeback to Mandarin Oriental Bangkok | Bangkok, Thailand | My first stay at Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, or iconically known as Oriental Bangkok, was over 4 years ago. At that time I was a different person, looking for different type of experiences, as it has happened organically through out all my personal and professional life. At that time, perhaps, ranked low as my favorite experiences in Bangkok, but after my recent stay, at my 41 years of age, I have to say it was simply PERFECTION. After countless times being in Bangkok, I have grown a deep love for the Chao Phraya River, and how it defines the nature of this destination, and to stay at a hotel at the streams of this charismatic feature, was something I would have never looked for before, and today I truly appreciate. So I guess we can appropriately say, that Mandarin Oriental Bangkok, it has taken some time, but it has grown in me, to be come I would say, my top choice when visiting Bangkok. Planting Rice with the Villagers in Thailand | Chiang Mai, Thailand | The afternoon task, so that I get to keep my room at the stunning Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi, was that I had to help the local villagers plant rice in the rice fields. But not only that, I also had to go for a ride on top their own Buffalo. Anything for another night into a this Ancient City Palace inspired resort. I have to say I learned a lot, based on the old concepts and traditions of the Lanna Kingdom (LAN= Million NA=Rice Fields) formed by the northern part of Thailand, Burma and Laos. And please, mind any comments on the outfit. Continue reading Planting Rice with the Villagers in Thailand
