Where Pisco Sour began at Maury Bar

Where Pisco Sour began at Maury Bar  |  Lima, Peru  |  If you come to Peru and you do not try a real Pisco Sour, hmmmmm them you have not, officially, been to Peru. Ha ha ha or so they say. And please, whatever you do NEVER compare the Pervuian Pisco to the Chilean, honestly worst mistake ever. If you happen to be walking around downtown Lima, close to the Plaza de Armas, you have to stop by Bar Maury, known to be the place where Pisco Sour was discovered. Follow my Instagram Peru Photo Gallery for more tips, photos and videos.  Continue reading Where Pisco Sour began at Maury Bar

Who knew Mario Testino is Peruvian

Who knew Mario Testino is Peruvian  |  Lima, Peru  |  When they told me, Carlos we will take you to MATE, the first thought that came to my mind was…. Why are they taking me to a museum of the Mate (typical drink from the south cone of South America), if I am in Peru, and certainly I would much rather go and learn about the Pisco… maybe because they knew I am Argentinean. So I decided to go along based on my curious spirit. Once we arrived to the house, which BTW is beautiful, in the neighborhood of Barranco in Lima, I understood everything,.. silly me. Follow my Instagram Peru Photo Gallery for more tips, photos and videos.  Continue reading Who knew Mario Testino is Peruvian

Pisac and the outdoor Market

Pisac and the outdoor Market  |  Sacred Valley, Peru  |  Písac is a Peruvian village in the Sacred Valley on the Urubamba River. The village is well known for its market, which nowadays takes place every day, but most visited and crowded on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. A true Andean village market. Despite of its popularity the market retains much of its local charm, at least in the part where villagers from miles around gather to barter and sell their produce. Follow my Instagram Peru Photo Gallery for more tips, photos and videos.  Continue reading Pisac and the outdoor Market

My experience onboard LAN Airlines

My experience onboard LAN Airlines  |  from New York to Lima, Peru  |  On my way to Lima, Peru from New York City, after some research I found out that LAN Airlines, would be the best option to fly to South America and connections within Peru. A short 7 hours flight away was made even shorter due to their excellent service, full onboard entertainment system and comfortable seats with reasonable pitch in Economy Class and wide space in Business Class. Yes my dear friends, for the sake of giving you a full report, this time I had to turn both left and right upon boarding the plane. All to show my commitment to you all ha ha ha…. Well actually on LAN Airlines for this route, you only turn right since you will have to pass through Business Class to later get to Economy. Follow my Instagram Peru Photo Gallery for more tips, photos and videos.  Continue reading My experience onboard LAN Airlines
