Only 3hours and 40 minutes from New York, and less than 2 hours from Miami. Definitely my kind of weekend getaway, to be also combined with Saint Barth or Anguilla. Vieques Air Link the best connection from Puerto Rico | Vieques, Puerto Rico | When we decided that the W Retreat & Spa Vieques, was going to be our next getaway for a weekend, I began my research on way to get from Puerto Rico to the island of Vieques. I went through multiple options, including ferry (which I was advise not to trust, since it takes too long, and is not reliable) and air. I checked Cape Air among a few others, and I found that Vieques Air Link (or VAL as known by the locals) was offering professional service, good aircrafts and the best deal in the market, with fares unto 50% from their competitors.

Weekend getaway at the W Retreat & Spa Vieques | Vieques, Puerto Rico | Just back from a lovely weekend at the W Retreat & Spa in Vieques, only 30 minutes away by plane from Puerto Rico main island. We came to celebrate Rubin’s Birthday, and to relax from the hustle and bustle from New York city, and we certainly did. Three days two nights was the perfect timing to enjoy the Retreat in full, and to discover the Island of Vieques.
