And we are officially MARRIED

Carlos Melia and Rubin Singer MarriageAnd we are officially MARRIED  |  New York, United States  |  Yesterday I changed my status to MARRIED. After 4 years of being together, Rubin Singer and I decided to tie the knot and formalize legally our love and commitment to each other. Early morning, we went to the City Hall in New York and got our Marriage License, follower by a lovely breakfast at Locanda Verde, hosted by our dear friend Michael Romei. That same evening we celebrated with all our dear New York friends and family, with a magical private dinner at the Wine Cellar of the 21 Club by Belmond. Buenos Aires The Silver City

Buenos Aires The Silver City by www.carlosmeliablog.comBuenos Aires The Silver City  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  This morning after 10 hours flight, I landed in Buenos Aires. Photo above is of the sun coming out over Buenos Aires, while landing at EZEIZA International Airport. The silhouette of the city with the Rio de la Plata behind shinning silver as the sun came out. Buenos Aires the “Silver City”. Argentina = Argentum (Ag) = Silver. The paradigm traced back to the first voyages made by the Spanish and Portuguese conquerors to the Río de la Plata which means “Silver River”, in the first years of the 16th century. But the sad truth is that La Plata Basin does not have any sources of silver, the only source can be found as far as I know close to Peru. Just sharing some Etymology. Anyhow, excited to spend the next two weeks here in Buenos Aires and surrounding areas. Gay Planning Mode is back and next week I am full hands on planning my 6th International Gay Wedding. All to be posted at www.carlosmeliablog.com — at Rio De La Plata.

Gay Planning mode is back, June 7th, to plan a Gay Wedding, once again, this time for a lovely couple from the Republic of Guayana. But in the meantime, as I always do, I will take sometime off to explore new and traditional options. This time I will be reviewing the following hotels and services, some of them I have tried before, but since I am taking my boyfriend, Rubin Singer, for his first visit to Buenos Aires, I want to show him the best the city has to offer: HUB Porteño Buenos Aires and their private tours “Experiences of the City”. Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires and their new look after their big renovation. The iconic and traditional Alvear Palace Hotel and their brand new sister property the Alvear Art Hotel. Two days getaway to one of my favorite spots close to Buenos Aires as it is San Antonio de Areco, to show Rubin the true heritage of Gauchos and the Pampas at Estancia La Bamba de Areco and some intimate dinners at Tarquino Restaurant and ROJO Tango Show & Dinner. As usual all to be posted and featured here and at my Social Network. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

Guaranteed marriage in 96 hours in Buenos Aires

Guaranteed marriage in 96 hours in Buenos Aires  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |   One of the many things I am doing while visiting Buenos Aires is planning my second Big Gay Wedding in Buenos Aires and my fourth worldwide. Many things have changed, in favor to foreigners willing to tie the knot in Argentina, since my last LGBT Wedding. After passing the Same Sex Marriage, becoming the second country in America to approve this right, many foreigners flocked to have their failed attempt to have their Porteño version of a wedding, regardless gay or straight. From now on, the local authorities (despite all the bureaucracy) guarantee to get you married within 96 hours of arrival to the country. Well this is my marketing line…. ha ha ha honestly is 96 working hours from the moment you start the process at the City Hall.

Authorities must arbitrate “all necessary means to facilitate the shift to applications relevant” to “not to defeat the spirit and the effectuation of the will of the requirements for which purposes may not, under any circumstances, provide bats with a term greater than 5 (five) days. “Moreover, “the documents and certificates issued as a result of this provision shall not be discriminatory nor contain any pattern that actually limit the principle of equality before the law.” Among the arguments, the resolution states that “the Law 26,618 (equal marriage) is configured as useful and effective guarantee of the right to form a family, without any discriminatory pattern based on sexual orientation as an obstacle to oppose normative or factual “. Therefore, “any foreigner to enter, transit or reside” in Argentina may marry under the civil marriage law, “without nationality may be invoked as a normative or factual obstacles to their full enjoyment.” (source Pagina 12)

Transitory Residency
The modification to the law, article 2nd… provide that hereafter shall be accepted as proof of transitory residency, notarized copy of passport and / or official immigration document, which must contain the reference address CABA and minimum stay period and / or permanence.
