The main purpose of this event was to present Thailand as the leading LGBT Friendly destination in Asia and to announce the launching of the dedicated LGBT Microsite for Thailand under the name of Go Thai Be Free (www.gothaibefree.com) to be online in just a few weeks.

Sand Boarding in Praia da Joquina Florianopolis | Florianopolis, Brazil | There is a first time in life for everything, they say right, and this time here in Florianopolis, where I have been spending this full week, was the time for Sand Boarding (or should I say SAD Boarding, judging by the videos below). Same as Snow Boarding, but in the warm hemisphere, in between the sand dunes of Praia do Joquina, only minutes away from Lagoa da Conceicao and Praia Mole in Brazil. Only 20 Reales for a full hour of adrenaline, stunning 360 panoramic views, and lots of fun.

Il Campanario Hotel Check IN at Jurere Florianopolis | Florianopolis, Brazil | Oi Galera. !!!! just arrived to Florianopolis and Jurere Beach, to the Il Campanario Resort where I will be spending the next 7 nights. This hotel will be the host venue of the 2012 IGLTA Annual Convention. Right on the beach and approximately 30 minutes away from the International Airport of Florianopolis. Have a look at my apartment, which includes 2 rooms and a full bathroom. As you may know by following, not exactly the type of hotels I frequent, but hey it is comfortable and charming. No complains whatsoever, I am in Brazil and on the beach, so all great right.

GPS Carlos Melia onboard TAM Airlines NYC to Florianopolis | Brazil | New adventures, take me to new destinations and continents. This time I crossed all the way from Asia to North America to catch my TAM Airlines flight from New York City to Florianopolis (see video above). Still in transit at Rio de Janeiro International Airport, waiting for my connecting flight to my final destination, Florianopolis, where I will be taking part of a Press Trip which will include Florianopolis, my favorite Lagoa da Conceicao, Parrot Island and Ponta dos Ganchos. The second part of my trips is focussed to the 29th IGLTA 2012 Annual Convention, where I will take part of their mentors program and also participate at the Media Trade Show.

That is why I am heading back for another month of adventures and to spend my birthday there on the Orient-Express Train from Bangkok to Singapore.
