But not only that, I also had to go for a ride on top their own Buffalo. Anything for another night into a this Ancient City Palace inspired resort. I have to say I learned a lot, based on the old concepts and traditions of the Lanna Kingdom (LAN= Million NA=Rice Fields) formed by the northern part of Thailand, Burma and Laos. Thai Cooking Class at Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi | Chiang Mai, Thailand | So this morning after breakfast I met with one of the chefs at the Le Grand Lanna restaurant of the Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi in Chiang Mai, and together with Nathan Fong, renown Canadian with base in Vancouver Food Stylist and Food/Travel Journalist, Host and Columnist, we head to the local markets to begin a morning full or scents, flavors and lots lots of Chilli.

Hotel Check IN Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi | Chiang Mai, Thailand | Stunning property, in old Lanna Thai style with touches of Burmese and British styles. 60 acres of land, including two rice fields, a temple, 5 restaurants, the Dheva luxury spa and a local village. I was accommodated into a huge Villa with two levels and my own private plunge pool. Disappointment: so far… that I will not have time to enjoy my villa in full, during the two nights I am here. Although the hotel looks like an old palace, Mandarin Oriental Dhara Dhevi only is seven years old. A team of architects and designers from Chiang Mai’s University have work hard to create this ambiance, together with the private collection of antics from all over Asia by the owner of the property.
