My new favorite speakeasy spot in Manhattan, The Bar Downstairs by Andaz 5th Avenue. Follow the silver rat to the basement out off 5th Avenue and 41st Street, I mean it is New York after all, and enjoy a lovely evening over great cocktails and tapas. Lovely filthy dirty Martinis, Cellar Door, their signature cocktail and tapas. My favorites, the Octopus Paprika, the Chicken Empanadas and the Orange Beets Salad. Thank you Fidel for the invite and entertaining me.

Andaz 5th Avenue New York City | New York City, United States | Last Friday I checked IN at the Andaz 5th Avenue Hotel, in New York City. I am researching and reviewing hotels for an article I will be doing on Luxury one Night Hotel + Restaurant Escapes in New York City. What a lovely property, our Loft Suite was just perfect in style, size, design. We kept saying, this would be the ideal apartment style in New York. Not to mention the location right in the heart of Midtown, meters away from Bryant Park and across the street from the New York Public Library A. Schwarzman Building.

Avenue in Manhattan, right of 5th Avenue and steps away from Bryant Park. Part of my research on Luxury Weekend Escapes in the City. Later on tonight dinner at The Shop Restaurant.
