SPRITMUSEUM an ABSOLUT Stockholm
SPRITMUSEUM an ABSOLUT Stockholm | Stockholm, Sweden | Have you ever thought about seeing ABSOLUT Vodka being shown as an exhibition in a museum ? Well now this is reality at the brand new SPRITMUSEUM at Galärvarvet in Stockholm. A total collection of 850 pieces, with only a few now on display. Lots of Did you Know moments, which make this exhibition quite illustrative and interesting.
I never get tired to say that Stockholm is one of my favorite cities in the world to come to see art, photography and cool exhibitions in general. This time by the signature of Sweden’s national drink, ABSOLUT Vodka.
Did you know moment #01 – Do you know who is the person, whose face is carved on the bottle of ABSOLUT Vodka? Lars Olsson Smith. L.O. Smith, was the person to find a way to take the fusel alcohol out of the Vodka by fractional distillation, being ABSOLUT Vodka the first one to offer a Vodka without this substance. Which leads me to my next Did you know moment…
Did you know moment #02 – Why ABSOLUT Vodka is called ABSOLUT Vodka ? Because by this fractional distillation, that took place in 10 steps, succeeding to get the fusel alcohol away, you will only get ABSOLUT and pure Vodka.
Did you know moment #03 – Who was the first artist ever to be commissioned to create ABSOLUT Vodka art, starting a global moment ? Well guess….. yes correct Andy Warhol. I mean, is there anything Warhol didn’t get his hands on?. He created the first piece ever, the one you can see at the top of this post, and from there on… Quite an interesting tour that wont take more than 40 minutes of your time. Easy to be combined with you visit to Vasa Museet only steps away one from the other. More information @ www.spritmusuem.com. Enjoy. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
