Izmailovsky Flea Market in Moscow
Izmailovsky Flea Market in Moscow | Moscow, Russia | Izmailovsky Flea Market also known by locals as the The Vernisage or the Souvenir Market, is a large flea market and great place out of Moscow main rings, to come and do some shopping, if you are looking for souvenirs, or local items ranging from used clothing, to stamps, coins and even war clothes. The key here, like in many markets around the world, is to know how to bargain, but be aware that the local Russia women are very tough and the like to up value their creations.
Saturdays and Sundays are the only days when the Vernisage is really much of an attraction. The market all year round during weekends is open till 5PM.
You may get there by Metro using the Dark Blue line Partizanskaya station, traveling east. Once off the metro, turn left and just follow the crowds.
For more information visit www.kremlin-izmailovo.com. Site is in Russian, but you can always use google translate. Enjoy and good bargaining. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
