Fire Island favorite Restaurants day/night | Fire Island, New York | once you are in the island you are restricted to the local options, and to be honest I am not of the kind that on my time off likes to cook, do groceries or hang around the kitchen. So out of all the option in Fire Island I have pick two of the that will cater to all your needs for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. FYI tea is not an option since I am 100% sure you will be at both the LOW and HIGH Tea where all the crow gathers before the big night begins.

SouthBay Clipper to Fire Island

SouthBay Clipper to Fire Island | New York, Fire Island | so you may ask yourself how do I get to Fire Island ? Well here is how. (1). Take the Long Island Railroad from Penn Station to Sayville. Transfer trains in Jamaica or Babylon Station. Check Fares and Itineraries here. (2). At Sayville Station a $5 bus will be waiting to take you to Fire Island ferry. If you are traveling off-peak season, call Colonial Taxi at 631-589-3500 for a lift to the ferry. (3). Take the Fire Island Pines ferry which is $14 roundtrip. Schedules are listed here. Travel time fro NYC to Fire Island Pines: 2 – 2.5 hours. FYI on the boat you are allowed to bring pets for an extra charge (of course they know we love our pets right)

The Madison at Fire Island Pines

The Madison at Fire Island Pines | Fire Island, New York | Yes boys you read right, the winter is over and the first weekend of Fire Island is here, very crowded to my surprise. I am staying at The Madison Hotel at Fire Island Pines, the premium lodging option in the island when talking about hotels. A small boutique charming hotel, located only steps away from the beach, the harbor and all the entertainment. My previous experiences in Fire Island were having a share in a house, but hey nothing like the perks of a hotel, breakfast, housekeeping, WiFi, Cable TV to better enjoy your stay. (picture below is the main entrance to the hotel).
