Cafeteria Mallorca Old San Juan

Cafeteria Mallorca Old San Juan by www.carlosmeliablog.comCafeteria Mallorca Old San Juan  | Old San Juan, Puerto Rico  |  Yes I own it. !!! I am guilty by pleasure. On my last morning in Puerto Rico, before heading back to New York, I could not helped it stopping by the traditional old-fashioned, 1950s-style diner, Cafeteria Mallorca, to have my own Mallorca experience. DAY 02 Exploring Old San Juan by www.carlosmeliablog.comDAY 02 Exploring Old San Juan plus  |  Old San Juan, Puerto Rico  |  After a long fun 01 Day Exploring Old San Juan, a lovely dinner at Verde Mesa, a deserved rest and early morning breakfast at the rooftop of my hotel La Terraza de San Juan, I was ready and excited to begin my second day exploring Old San Juan. What I was not aware, was that I would go beyond to the districts of Santurce and Condado, which I loved, but I was happy to always return to my historic quaint district of Old San Juan.  Continue reading DAY 02 Exploring Old San Juan plus

DAY 01 Exploring Old San Juan

DAY 01 Exploring Old San Juan by DAY 01 Exploring Old San Juan Photo Album  |  Old San Juan, Puerto Rico  |   I arrived to Puerto Rico on the first flight of the morning, checked in at my beautiful suite at hotel La Terraza de San Juan, in the heart of Old San Juan, and got ready to explore the old courts and fortresses and secrets of this charming district. I have been many times before to Puerto Rico, including Vieques, but this was my first time only focusing to the Old San Juan. My hotel made all the arrangements for an expert guide to take me on a private two-days tour of the entire district, including some great lunch and dinner options.  Continue reading DAY 01 Exploring Old San Juan

Chef Jose Enrique Restaurant

Chef Jose Enrique Restaurant by www.carlosmeliablog.comChef Jose Enrique Restaurant  |  Santurce, Puerto Rico  |  I found the perfect excuse to come and explore the upcoming and trendy district of Santurce, Puerto Rico. Located only 10 minutes walk from Condado and 10 minutes by car from my headquarters at La Terraza de San Juan in Old San Juan. This restaurant is the classic example that a book should never be judged by its cover and that first impressions are not always the right ones. Seen from outside, Jose Enrique looks like a regular restaurant, but trust me you are in for a gourmet treat, if you follow your instincts. My recommendation, weather permits, ask to be seated outside, I did and LOVED it. FYI each time you visit is a new gourmet experience, since there is not set menu, and everyday is a new selection.  Continue reading Chef Jose Enrique Restaurant

Verde Mesa Restaurant

Verde Mesa Restaurant by www.carlosmeliablog.comVerde Mesa Restaurant  |  Old San Juan, Puerto Rico  |  Without a doubt, the best dinner I had during my last visit to Puerto Rico and Old San Juan, invited by La Terrasa de San Juan Hotel. Space, location, atmosphere, food and drinks were just perfect, in balance and compliment to Old San Juan. Located on Calle Tetuan #107, perched on the wall of the Old San Juan, along the Paseo De La Princesa. Verde Mesa is a fish and vegetarian restaurant, featuring great dishes including traditional Puerto Rican ones, which will even captivate the meat lovers.  Continue reading Verde Mesa Restaurant

La Terraza de San Juan homemade Luxury

La Terraza de San Juan homemade Luxury by www.carlosmeliablog.comLa Terraza de San Juan homemade Luxury  | Old San Juan, Puerto Rico  |  Luxury has many shades, and some of them stand far from the mere and easy concept of opulence and richness. Travel these days, is all about life event and experience. which in one way or the other, while rough around the edges, leave an unforgettable mark, La Terraza de San Juan, is to me best described as homemade luxury. A true rustic colonial take on Puerto Rico, with impeccable charisma y local traditional camaraderie, deliver by it owners themselves and their casual but professional staff. Located in the heart of Old San Juan, over Calle Sol, La Terraza de San Juan was my ideal epicenter, to discover this charming district, unveiling a new face of Puerto Rico, full of traditions and heritage, which I truly enjoyed. A cute simple getaway trip of three days.  Continue reading La Terraza de San Juan homemade Luxury

Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco

Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco  |  Saint Martin, The Caribbean |  Have lunch on the top of the trees, yes literally. That is what they told me, and I was OK… I have seen enough in this life so nothing quite surprise me anymore, but at the same time I always end up being surprised THANK GOD or life will become too boring right. Love to be outdoors connecting with nature? Or are you a daredevil and love extreme sports? Well there they have them both! Loterie Farm is a secret hideaway nestled in the hillside of Pic Paradis on French Saint Martin where you can wine, dine, climb, hike and glide over the treetop canopy. It is truly an eco-tourism and gastronomical experience you’re not likely to forget or find elsewhere. Shame on me, I only had lunch ha ha ha and a few local drinks.  Continue reading Loterie Farm Resto Alfresco
