Next to Lim’s Restaurant, fantastic Thai Food. Great drinks, beautiful indoor/outdoor design. Regardless gay or straight, the place to be seen in Phuket, after 10PM till the music fades away or you decide to move on to Soi Paradise. Conde Nast Traveller included them into their 2009 Hotlist of World’s Best Bars. Ask for my friend David there, and tell him Carlos Melia sent you, maybe you’ll get a drink on me, or an extra shot of vodka in your drink. CM

Hotel Check IN Andara Resort | Kamala Beach, Phuket, Thailand | Two days ago I checked in at the wonderful Andara Resort (Anda = Andaman Sea and Dara = Start meaning Star of the Andaman Sea). From the moment you walk into the lobby till the time you go to breakfast or the Fitness Center, the service and attention to detail is incredible. Everyone in the hotel knows your name, who you are and what you do. I was given a huge duplex one bedroom suite with a private rooftop infinity pool. I would suggest Andara Resort for traveling for longer periods than 5 nights and looking for a full self apartment experience with all the world class services of a luxury five stars hotel.

Sunday Brunch at TRISARA Resort and Beach | Trisara Beach, Phuket, Thailand | If you are a big fun like me, of Sunday Brunch and you crave for you mid morning shot of Bloody Mary or flute of good champagne, FYI Trisara Resort offers one of the best Brunch in Phuket, perfectly matched by the stunning beauty of Trisara private beach, and complimented by the soothing background music of a live Jazz band. Trisara, in sanskrit means the 3rd. Garden in Heaven, and indeed you will feel like you are there.

My TOP 04 list of beaches in Phuket | Phuket, Thailand | After over a week here in Phuket and about to leave tomorrow, I want to share with all of you my TOP 04 of favorite beaches in the island. Hopefully this will save you all lots of time, and allow you to better enjoy those areas worth spending time at. Patong Beach might be the most renown area and beach among regular tourists coming to Phuket, my suggestion, do not waste your time there. Patong is to visit at night, go to the bazaars, bars, restaurants and discos, but not for the beach.
