Used as Parliament House until 1974, nowadays it is open to the public every day except on Chulalongkorn Day (23 October), the King’s birthday (5 December) and the Queen’s birthday (12 August).

Although there is plenty to see in this region, the Bridge over River Kwai, the museum , Don-Rak Cementery and the ride over the Death Railway are the main attraction, so I went for it. A full day tour, driving for over 2 hours from center Bangkok to the River Kwai Bridge. River Kwai and the Bridge . After entering the Second War in December 1941, Japanese forces quickly overran most of South East Asia. In 1942, in order to find a shorter and more secure line of supply between Burma (now Myanmar) and Siam (now Thailand), the Japanese decided to use prisoners of war and civilian labour to build a single line railway to link existing railheads at Thanbyuzayat in the west and Ban Pong in the east.

Since I will be leaving soon, I am on a mission to stuff myself with as much Thai food as I can, and indeed I am pretty damn good at doing that. This time was minced Chicken Balls on my way from Pattaya to Bangkok. I kept seeing those all the time during my time here in Thailand, and was never quite sure what they were, and now I do.

A must try with either chicken, fish or pork. You will get addicted to it. Add extra soy sauce and chili. I have become addicted to it, and every morning I crave to have it. (canola oil, minced garlicground chicken or pork (from chicken thigh or breast), salt, soy sauce, chicken broth, jasmine rice or rice porridge, egg, thinly shredded fresh ginger, green onion, coarsely chopped cilantro, dash white pepper powder and you are good to go.!!!). Most hotels serve it as part of their Thai breakfast. This one in particularly was at the Hotel Muse Bangkok. CM

Conveniently located in the area of Lumpini, over the Royal road, only steps away from the Chit Lom BTS SkyTrain Station. The hotel has just been opened two month ago, at Hotel Muse I have found my soul mate in Bangkok. Love this property. Modern, decadent deco, funky and young. Reminds me lots to the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York city.

Another Gay Night Out at Soy 4 in Bangkok | Bangkok, Thailand | This time together with my local friend and former Mr Gay Thailand – Pete, we set off to explore the gay night scene of Bangkok. in the district of Patpong at Soi 2 1/2. Who else better than him to show you around the gay night scene of this fabulous city. Being a long weekend, Sunday night looked very promising and indeed was and lots of fun, great music and a combination of locals, expats and tourists.
