Gay Wedding Planning MODE is back !!! Countdown for my next Gay Wedding in Argentina is on, working to make it happen. JUNE 2013. You can see more about my previous weddings at Carlos Melia Wedding Planner. Stay tuned.
The New York Times features Gay Marriage
What a better way to end my stay in Buenos Aires, than finding out that The New York Times has featured on their Weddings/Celebrations section of this Sunday edition, the Gay Wedding I have planned here in Buenos Aires, Argentina for David Knopf and Edwin Marrero, this lovely couple from San Francisco, California, in their mid 50s that decided to tie the knot and say YES I DO in full legal rights in Argentina.
Customer Feedback David and Edwin
This is why I love my job and I am damn good at it.!!! The feedback from my clients nature me, either when they are positive and also when they let me know what I did wrong, because that is the essence of learning and becoming a true professional. David and Edwin, both came to Buenos Aires all the way from San Francisco, to tie the knot and say YES I DO. They trusted me to be their bespoke Wedding Planner. Thank you David and Edwin, for trusting such an important event and day of your lives in my hands, and following my judgement all along the way. You are such a lovely couple, that it has been a joy and honor for me to assist you. CONGRATS to the newly weds
Phase III For the sake of Marriage Equality
hase III is complete and this morning at the City Hall #14 of the city of Buenos Aires, in front of the judge and the two witnesses, Edwin M. and David K. said to each other YES I DO, and exchanged vows and rings in a very moving and emotional, but private ceremony.
Phase II Gay Marriage Argentina completed
Following our success on Phase I, this morning, very early we all came to one of the many public hospitals in the city of Buenos Aires, to have the blood tests and medical exams mandatory before being authorized to tie the knot, at least in Argentina. I must admit, without being snobbish or feeling that I am discriminating anyone with this comments, that it was a very raw and real experience. The City Hall and the marriage law dictates that you can ONLY have this exams done at a Public Hospital. When we got there, the first impression was a bit shocking, even to me… there were hundreds and hundreds of people.
Phase I Gay Marriage Argentina completed
Phase one of Legal Gay Marriage for foreign couples in Argentina completed and successfull.!!! Smooth and quick they were registered, given the necessary documentation and as the law of Same Sex Marriage with the Temporary Residency add-on dictates, they have the Wedding Ceremony appointment in exactly 5 days. Groom + Groom getting ready to tie the knot
So the so expected Gay Wedding Planning week in Buenos Aires, Argentina for the Groom + Groom has come, and we are almost ready to assist and help this lovely couple from San Francisco, United States, get officially married. Last night we had our meeting at MOTT Restaurant in Palermo SOHO, and shared a lovely dinner along with Mariana the witness and friend of the couple.
Next International Gay Wedding by CM
The countdown is ON. Planning my nex Gay Wedding in 25 days. This time in Buenos Aires, Argentina, for a lovely couple from San Francisco. Can’t wait. This time benefited by the new modification to the Same Sex Marriage Law that guarantees marriage to any alien or non resident, the right to get married in 96 hours. The most exciting news, is that I have already been booked for another international Gay Wedding to take place JUNE 2013. LOVE IS IN THE AIR. Buenos Aires here I come… Once again. Ladies and Gentleman, I do not need to advertise myself as a Wedding Planner, I am making happen. PERIOD.
Guaranteed marriage in 96 hours in Buenos Aires
One of the many things I am doing while visiting Buenos Aires is planning my second Big Gay Wedding in Buenos Aires and my fourth worldwide. Many things have changed, in favor to foreigners willing to tie the knot in Argentina, since my last LGBT Wedding. After passing the Same Sex Marriage, becoming the second country in America to approve this right, many foreigners have their failed attempt to have their Porteño version of a wedding, regardless gay or straight. From now on, the local authorities (despite all the bureaucracy) guarantee to get your married within 96 hours of arrival to the country. Well this is my marketing line…. ha ha ha honestly is 96 working hours from the moment you start the process at the City Hall.
