IGLTA’s Consumer Trade Show Fort Lauderdale | Ft. Lauderdale, Florida | So YES once again we made it and was AMAZING to see all the local Gay crowd of Wilton Manors and Ft. Lauderdale and the IGLTA’s Consumer Trade show that took place yesterday afternoon at the Wilton Manor City Hall.  There I had my own booth representing CM by Carlos Melia and four of my sponsors. The show was very well attended, from 6 to 10PM and we had the closing Concert in the Park with Kristine W.

Interview with IGLTA‘s President & CEO • John Tanzella by Carlos Melia. IGLTA stands for International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association, and this interview was conducted ( JUL 2010 ) during the GNetworks360 – Gay Marketing and Networking Conference, that took place in the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina.

John Tanzella, former employee of Delta Airlines, Washington DC Convention Bureau ant the Human Rights Campaign, the largest human rights organization of the United States. John has spent most of his time working and living in between the United States and Italy. Now back in the United States since 2005 when he joined the IGLTA. Fort Lauderdale – Florida, is where the IGLTA has its headquarter and from where they coordinate a team of worldwide ambassadors.

GNETWORK360 Conference in Buenos Aires

GNETWORK360 Conference  |  Comes to Buenos Aires for its 3rd. Edition, and this year is reloaded after wining the Best Gay Networking Event awarded by the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association – IGLTA during their last Global Annual Convention in the city of Antwerp, Belgium. GNETWORK 360, is an opportunity to attend and learn from the best of the best exponents in Gay Travel and Marketing Worldwide. Also one of the main networking events to take place in South and Central America. Personalities of the international gay world will gather during almost a whole week to share their knowledge and experiences, names like Ed Salvato (former Editor of OUT&ABOUT and  consider one of the main Gay Travel Experts in the world), Irwin Drucker (IBM), Jeff Guaracino (CVB of Philadelphia, US), John Tanzela (CEO of IGLTA), among many others.

Also is a great opportunity for Argentina and the local gay businesses and services to expose their products/services to the world, and to the whole group of international Gay Media, Travel Editors and Independent gay travel journalist to join this event. Names like Shangay, Winq, Spatacus, Passport Magazine, Junior among many other are already registered and will not only be covering the city of Buenos Aires, but also the rest of the country.

UNWTO joins forces with IGLTA

UNWTO joins forces with IGLTA   |  Antwerp, Belgium  | History is made at the IGLTA’s Global Annual Convention, when today John Tanzella – CEO & President of IGLTA – announces the collaboration with UNWTO – UN World Travel Organization, an United Nations agency dealing with questions relating to tourism. One of the most relevant Travel Organizations based in Madrid now joins the IGLTA and recognizes Gay Travel and Gay Consumers as a relevant and reliable source of business and tourism.
