GPS Carlos Melia at Place du Trocadero | Paris, France | To me the best views of the Eiffel Tower that Paris has to offer. Just spectacular. You get to see the Eiffel Tower in full, plus the fountains and Champ du Mars. Located on the 16eme arrondissement, Metro station Trocadero of the line 9. Trust me you wont regret it. And then from there you can go down the stairs to the base of the Eiffel Tower. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

Varlib Bus from St Tropez to St Raphael | French Riviera, France | The most panoramic way to travel from St Tropez to St Raphael, comfortably, on time and on the right budget. For EUROS 2, you will ride for over and hour and 30 minutes along the coast of the French Riviera, the Golf of Saint Tropez overlooking the waters of the Mediterranean Sea. The bus station is next to the Le Bateuax Terminal. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
ZEN Restaurant at Pan Dei Palace | St Tropez, France | Located at the ground level of the Pan Dei Palais by Relais & Chateaux, is this lovely Restaurant, fusion of Thai / Indian with reminiscences of French Cuisine. ZEN is their concept, and you can see in the photo above, very very simple but classy and very tasteful. And come on… once you use French Graine Moutarde, what can go wrong right. !!!! It brings up all the right flavors. Precision, skill, sophistication… the dishes created by Sato, chef at the Pan Deï Palais, reflect a Japanese garden, the mark of serenity belonging to the country of the rising sun. In one word, “Zen”. Bon Appetit !!! CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
Grand Cafe Restaurant | St Tropez, France | Located at the Hotel Saint Lamour la Tartane, this Asian Restaurant with dishes inspired in Thailand and Japan has a nice atmosphere and the final product is very good. I love my Tom Yong, and I must say they made it very well with fresh prawns from the Golf of St Tropez. The ambiance is very nice, low lights and a center chandelier take over the room. To enter you will go through the bar area. I felt that the service was rather informal, and my waiter in particular was a bit patronizing, trying to explain me or make a point why they only offer one choice of White Wine by the Glass. Excuse me…. Asian Restaurant with huge Thai influence and you only offer Chardonnay? Quick note for you, how about a good Chenin, the best appariement Monsieur. Great Tom Yong above, as I said with enormous fresh tasteful prawns aux French Riviera. (photo above) As my main course I went for the Tuna Tataki with steam vegetables over coriander and ginger. Nothing better in my own personal gastronomy choices than to have the combined flavors of this two. Food wise I give then and 8 out of 10. Presentation wise, well I think they’ve got a bit lazy, and take advantage of the low lights concept. Another point was that I ordered my classic Filthy Vodka Martini, as you know I always do, but it was not possible, since they had ran out of olives and olive juice. Anyhow, Bon Appettt. !!! Plage des Salins in Saint Tropez | Saint Tropez, France | Another alternative options to Plage Pampelonne. Less crowded or commercial, with a nice restaurant Les Salins which I am planning to try today for lunch. Ten minutes by car from the Port of St Tropez. Ride the Route des Salins which is the prolongation of Rue Gambetta, and you will be there in not time. Plage Pampelonne in Ramataelle France | Ramatuelle, France | Neighbor district to Saint Tropez, only 15 minutes away, holding beautiful beaches and the exclusive Club 55. Six kilometers of beach, and traslucid green waters of the Mediterranean Sea. You will drive along vineyards and classic Tropezienne Provence style house.
If I would have to compare this beach to anywhere in the beach, and maybe in general St Tropez, would be to Punta del Este, Uruguay in South America. Same vibe, although here the travelers are a notch more upscale.
There are areas for only PRIVE Access like Club 55, and also public beaches. But not to worry all, regardless their status are stunning. Enjoy the video and photos. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
Club 55 at Plage des Pampelone| Ramatuelle, France | Only 15 minutes away from Plage des Salins and 20 from the port of St Tropez, you will arrive to Plage Pampelonne and to the exclusive and chic Club 55. Literally the who is who, Be and Be Seen stop in this region. In my mind I had the idea, being low season, that I was going to be there practically on my own, well I couldn’t be any more wrong. The place was SOLD OUT. The ambiance is quite chic, but not pretentious of stiff at all. I would say that following my path of stunning iconic chic restaurants worldwide, Club 55 has join my list to TOP social spot along with the Copacabana Palace (Rio de Janeiro), Polo Lounge (Los Angeles), Frankies (Istanbul), La Huella (Punta del Este) among a few others… Lunch with one step, sparkling water and a tea was EURO 41. Food, same as the ambiance, is very casual but very good and on very generous portions. Sorry, but I must say, that since I have arrived to France, it has been the first time that I felt they were serving me… and not just dealing with me. After lunch I walked to the private beach club and spent the afternoon lying over the sun, enjoying the lovely views and jumping into the water in a few occasions, although the water was rather cold.

Hotel Check IN at Hotel Saint Amour la Tartane | St Tropez, France | Approximately 10 minutes from Saint Tropes Port, is Hotel Saint Amour la Tartane, on the Route to Plages de Salins. A lovely villa based concept hotel, on a classic Provence style. 28 Suites and Villas settled around a clear blue swimming pool (which I wish would be heated to jump in right now). Definitely a complete Saint Tropez experience compared to my previous stay at Rue Gambetta close to the port. Tonight dinner at their Asian restaurant. Now off to Plage Pampelonne and Le Club 55 for Lunch. More to come upon check out. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
