FullSizeRender 4VIP Gala Dinner 45 minutes out of Paris curated by Carlos Melia  |  Paris, France | One of the many services I offer to my clients worldwide, is producing event and weddings. Here an example of the last event I hosted 45 minutes outside of Paris, to end our VIP French Open Roland Garros Week to a very select group of executives. The Gala took place at a lovely Chateau, located in the district of Bouffemont, which we privatized fully. Sunset cocktails at the outdoor terrace, gala dinner indoors with live performances and band, which included among others, an impersonator of Edith Piaf. A lovely soiree and the perfect curated end to their trip. Here other experiences I also created for this same group: Sunset sailing and dinning along the Seine River. Private off-hours visit to the tower of Notre Dame. Guy Savoy Restaurant at La Monnaie de Paris. Private visit to Louis XV and XVI’s Apartment, Behind-the-Scences tour of the Eiffel Tower… among many others. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com

Private sailing and dining in Paris along the Seine River

Private sailing and dining in Paris along the Seine RiverPrivate sailing and dining in Paris along the Seine River  |   ParisFrance | One of the experiences that I curated and hosted for my recent VIP Group to Paris for the Roland Garros French Open event, was a private sunset sailing along the Seine River, which included an outdoor cocktail, followed by a 3-Courses Gourmet dinner by Lenôtre. We were picked up at our hotels Le Bristol, and driven for 10 minutes to their Terminal/Lounge to board our private boat, the ACTE III. Not much more to say, so I will let you enjoy the photos and judge by them. All I can add, is that our sailing was supposed to end by 10PM, and guests were enjoying their time so much, that we decided to extend for another 2 hours to see the Eiffel Tower sparkle right from the heart of the Seine River. This was not my first time doing a Private Sailing in Paris along the Seine River. I have done it a few times before, but on a smaller scale and more private. See my post on Private Champagne Sunset RIVA Sailing along the Seine River. BTW Post today July 14th 2015 in honor of Bastille Day. HAPPY Bastille Day. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com

Carlos Melia My day walking Paris in photos  |  Paris, France  |  Here is my photo album of my entire day walking in Paris. I think I have been to Paris at least forty times in my life, and I never seizes to amaze me with it beauty. My day began walking up and down Champs Elysees, when I decided, due to the amazing weather, to visit a local Flea Market to buy a few things for our new apartment in New York. I asked to the concierge at my hotel, and her recommended the Marche Vernaison at Marche aux Puces in St Ouen. (Metro  4 – Porte de Clignancourt). Since the sun was out and the temperature was ideal, I decided to walk from Hotel de Sers to the flea market, which took me approximately one hour.  Continue reading My day walking Paris in photos

My day at the Chateau de Versailles

My day at the Chateau de Versailles  |  Versailles, France  |  What a brilliant day exploring and walking along the gardens of Chateau de Versailles and inside the Chateau itself. So happy I decided to stay overnight in Versailles, at the fabulous Trianon Palace by Waldorf Astoria right next to the Palace sharing the gardens with them. The rest you can read and see it all in images and videos below.

I left this morning from Paris at 12 noon from Gare Saint Lazare, and arrived 40 minutes and 4 EUROS later to Versailles. Checked IN at my hotel, and just strolled a few blocks away to the Palace itself. See how civilized our train ride was.

Me reporting LIVE from the Palace after spending almost two hours touring along all the halls, rooms and ballrooms. Such a stunning experience.

Chateux de Versailles and its gardens, form one of the most famous world heritage monuments and stand out as the finest French art in the 17th Century. The old brick and stone palace of Louis XIII, was transformed and greatly enlarged by his son Louis XIV.

The town that was built around the Palace offers many examples of their rich past. Churches, towns houses, old squares and streets. Unfortunately I did not have enough time to visit the Trianon and the Maire-Atoiniette’s Estate, and Mondays the Palace is closed. So in a way, a great excuse to come back.

My absolute favorite room was the Hall of Mirrors. There are dozens of chandeliers, beautiful golden statues, huge arched windows, well no need to say more, just watch the video.

And after an amazing day walking around, ready to head back to my lovely hotel, the Trianon Palace Versailles. Shower, spa, hamam and off to the small French Bistro that the Les Clef’s Dor Concierges have chosen for me. Cheers CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
