MDNA by Madonna at the Yankee Stadium New York

MDNA by Madonna at the Yankee Stadium New York  |  New York, United States  |  Last night I came to see Madonna LIVE for her World Tour MDNA. Over 60,000 people from all ages and generations, gather to see the Queen of POP do what she does best, … singing or dancing ? well not quite that, I was going to say, put together an amazing visual and interactive show. Old songs, news songs and some iconic like Vogue, Express Yourself, Holiday, and Like a Prayer. My favorite moment, was when she did Turn the Radio Up, which has been my favorite song from the last album. See all my photos and videos. My 07 days in India by portrayed by 30 Postcards Project  |  India  |  Great video by friend and colleague Kevin Richberg on his project 30 Postcards around the world. This time of our trip together to the north of India. You can see me in a few scenes, specially the one being harassed by the street vendors ” Hawkers “, just look at my face priceless. After a week of travel, I was kind of OVER them. Great work Kevin. Cheers CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends

World Pride 2012 London in images and videos

World Pride 2012 London in images and videos  |  London, England  |  Last Saturday, we celebrated the World Gay Pride 2012  in London. We marched all along the city to Trafalgar Square, were the main stage was located. There are no official numbers yet of how many participated, but I must say that the procession (aka. Parade) the way the local authorities decided to call the march, was very successful, despite of all the organization, budget, permits problems that have been public for the last few weeks, and for which many were predicting this World Pride to be World Shame Pride. The way back, well on board First Class non-stop American Airlines flight from Buenos Aires to New York City (approx. 10 hours and 30 minutes ). Yes everyone, after an exhausting week planning a Gay Wedding in Buenos Aires, I got on my almost flat bed seat, jump into my AA pijamas, enjoyed a few glasses of White Wine and Champagne, caught up with movies and slept the whole way through to wake up over a great breakfast at JFK. Chimichurri Recipe right from San Antonio de Areco

Chimichurri Recipe right from San Antonio de Areco  |  San Antonio de Areco, Argentina |  If you love food as much as I do, you must try Chimichurri. The most traditional and renown Argentinean sauce, that goes very well with any type of meats, bread, salads…. you name it. Here is the traditional recipe I got today right from the kitchen of Estancia El Ombu, in San Antonio de Areco, cradle of Argentinean traditions, and from the hands of a local Paisana (aka. female Gaucho). Better than this… impossible. Enjoy it and let me know. CM

LIVE from Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires

LIVE from Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  Last night I went to the Opera together with my friends and members of the Board of Directors of the Opera of Minnesota. But not to any opera house, we came to Teatro Colon, known to have one of the top acoustics in the entire world,  not said by me, but by experts like Pavarotti. The Opera we truly enjoyed with an amazing production was “La Forza del Destino” by Guisepper Verdi. Continue reading LIVE from Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires

Acrobatic Training at La Arena in Buenos Aires

Acrobatic Training at La Arena in Buenos Aires  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |   After over 6 years of being away, and at my 38 years old, today I went back to my Acrobatic/Gymnast training while visiting in Buenos Aires. I grew up training almost everyday to what at that time was one of my biggest passions. Now with my life of traveling around the world it a bit difficult to continue, but every time I have the chance I go back to it… and believe it or not, the body has a memory. Another activity you can do while in Buenos Aires, at La Arena Circo in the neighborhood of Palermo. Approx. USD 15 x 2 hours class.  Check them OUT and try if you dare. Now back to training, tonight I will be in pain, but no pain, no game. CM

Cemetery of Recoelta and EVITA in Buenos Aires

Cemetery of Recoelta and EVITA in Buenos Aires |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  This are the things I do with my iPhone when I am bored in Buenos Aires. Hope you enjoy my video of the Cemetery of Recoleta and EVITA Peron. One of the true landmarks of the city, and one of the iconic notable figures of the history of Argentina, hated by many and loved by others. Cemetery of Recoleta, literally a ghost town with lots of dead ends. CM
