Private dinner at The Rock Punta Mita  |  Punta Mita, Mexico  |  This morning I arrived to Punta Mita at Riviera Nayarit in Mexico, hosted by the Four Seasons Punta Mita. Tonight was my first dinner and they fully went out of their way to impress me with a private dinner at The Rock. The Rock is a bespoke by request restaurant that only pops up at the hotel for very VIP or special occasions.
Accompanied by Jason Santamaria – Sales Manager at FS Punta Mita, we enjoyed a very well though menu of 4 steps including all local fresh produce like lobster, Shrimp, Calamari and the fish of the day Mahi-Mahi all specially prepared and presented by the Chef of the Resort, along with some bottles of Dom Perignon Champagne, while enjoying the views of a stunning sunset over Mansanillo Beach overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
 A romantic dinner, a celebration for a small private group, or maybe why not just to be enjoyed on your own, overlooking the sunset and later the moon reflecting over the water and the stars shining along the heat of your fire.  What an special unique haute experience. This happens on top of The Rock, overlooking Mansanillo Beach.
I would definitely walk down the aisle and say ” YES I DO ” surrounded by this breathtaking setting, wouldn’t you ? Sunrise or Sunset, Gay or Straight… And after a lovely ceremony on The Rock, a local dinner at Las Cuevas Beach, see below…
Indeed a gourmet experience it took me by surprise and I was not expected. I mean, you get amazing hotels with lovely views like this all over the world, but the execution to detail and professionalism, I hope you can see and read through my photos, it is what only companies like Four Seasons Worldwide can make happen. MUST Try. !!! Now time to relax at the fire contemplating the moon and listening to the rumbling of the Pacific Ocean, sipping through my late harvest sweet white wine. Le 1899 Restaurant

Le 1899 Restaurant  |  Deauville, France  |  If there was a restaurant that stood out of the bunch during my visit to Deauville, was without second thoughts the Le 1899 Restaurant, located at the Le Manoir de Tourgeville Hotel. A Michelin star restaurant where heart, mind and soul blend to master a great Normand Gourmet experience.
Located only 15 minutes away from the center of Deauville. Coral and plum are the dominating tones of the décor, providing a joyful and warm atmosphere. The cuisine pays homage to the traditional gastronomy of the Normandy region, with a modern and creative twist, mixed with inspirations from other countries and regions. My only recommendation would be to have lower lights and chandeliers, to compliment the fireplace and help to create a cozier and more intimate space. My choices for the night were: A started of poached egg over a bed and sauce of Mushrooms.
Main was the Bar or SeaBass, which was prepared in front of our eyes by the Director of Food & Beverages, on a magistral demonstration of technique and old school.
Dessert, was one of the many classics of the Normand Cuisine, that I tried during my whole stay, featuring one on the most noble products of this region, the apple. An apple flavoured with Calvados and wrapped in flaky pastry. All along with several coupes de champagne rose and some Burgundy dry white wines. Must try if you happen to be in Deauville. Club 55 at Plage des Pampelone

Club 55 at Plage des Pampelone  |  Ramatuelle, France  |  Only 15 minutes away from Plage des Salins and 20 from the port of St Tropez, you will arrive to Plage Pampelonne and to the exclusive and chic Club 55. Literally the who is who, Be and Be Seen stop in this region. In my mind I had the idea, being low season, that I was going to be there practically on my own, well I couldn’t be any more wrong. The place was SOLD OUT. The ambiance is quite chic, but not pretentious of stiff at all. I would say that following my path of stunning iconic chic restaurants worldwide, Club 55 has join my list to TOP social spot along with the Copacabana Palace (Rio de Janeiro), Polo Lounge (Los Angeles), Frankies (Istanbul), La Huella (Punta del Este) among a few others…
Lunch with one step, sparkling water and a tea was EURO 41. Food, same as the ambiance, is very casual but very good and on very generous portions. Sorry, but I must say, that since I have arrived to France, it has been the first time that I felt they were serving me… and not just dealing with me.
After lunch I walked to the private beach club and spent the afternoon lying over the sun, enjoying the lovely views and jumping into the water in a few occasions, although the water was rather cold.
