Hub Porteño homemade luxury made in Argentina | Buenos Aires, Argentina | A few things these days get my full interest and attention. There is nothing that I like most, than to see a hotel being conceived, and be invited to give my comments and suggestions based on my long proven experience.
Frank’s Bar in Buenos Aires Got your code.?
Frank’s Bar in Buenos Aires got your code.? | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Last night, here in Buenos Aires looking for new, fun bars to check out, write about, and have a descent Dirty Vodka Martini… I came across Frank’s Bar in Palermo Hollywood. The concept of Speakeasy bar has arrived to Buenos Aires, and as for my understanding Frank’s is the only and first one doing it. A hidden main gate, a great looking bar and the surprise of a very avant-garde sex shop at the exit, in case you want to continue your night in high standards. The first question you will get is Do You Have the Code?, a concept that has been use and reused all over the world and has got a bit tired by now… but it is making its way in Buenos Aires. How do you get the code… ?

Aerolineas Argentinas Club Economy aka Business Class
Aerolineas Argentinas Club Economy aka Business Class | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Just arrived to Buenos Aires, all the way from Rio de Janeiro on Aerolineas Argentinas. Why the service fell a bit short… read below.
La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar
La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar | Buenos Aires, Argentina | What comes to your mind when I say Molecular food ? Everyone loves to say that word but not many know the true meaning of it. So the other day when Chef Alejandro Digilio invited me to come and check his restaurant, which by the way everyone raves about, I asked him what type of food you guys specialize into…. and he replied Molecular Food in 16 Steps, and I said to my self Carlos you are in big trouble, I am a huge foodie and wine fan, therefore 16 Steps sounded like I was about to get a Molecular Food feast, without even knowing what it entitled.
SERENA Hotel Buenos Aires
SERENA Hotel Buenos Aires | Buenos Aires, Argentina | SERENA Hotel Punta del Este, has been for long time my favorite option at that destination, and over a year ago, they expanded with their second property to Buenos Aires nesting the Argentinean branch in the exclusive area of Recoleta over Libertad Street. I spent there the last 2 nights and here are a few comments based on my own experience. But one thing I would like to highlight right from the beginning is the excellent job they have done with the Spa/Sauna area on the ground floor, where space was planed, executed and used brilliantly, see photo below.
Carlos Melia learns Tango at El Querandi Tangueria
Carlos Melia learns Tango at El Querandi Tangueria | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Aside from being my favorite tangueria (aka. Tango House) in Buenos Aires, today, once the show was over, I took my own private lesson of Tango with one of the leading dancer of the prestigious El Querandi Tango Show. I know I know… Argentinean, Porteño and I do not have a clue on how to dance Tango, shame on me. Well that is why El Querandi Tango has came to my rescue to give me the basic steps of my native dance.
MIO Hotel Buenos Aires brand new Boutique option
MIO Hotel Buenos Aires brand new Boutique option | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Today I went for a site inspection at the recently opened MIO Hotel Buenos Aires. I was hosted in all style by GM Amalia Gonzalez, former Alvear Palace Hotel. The hotel by the trademark of Catena family, yes the same of Catena Zapata wines, combines boutique luxury, elegance and original design, with customized care. Walk through the stunning six meter-high door made of French oak from wine barrels, on the distinguished Quintana Avenue, at the heart of distinct Recoleta. I would have loved to stay overnight, but unfortunately the year has so many night, but I will on my next visit to Buenos Aires for sure, but below is the full comments on my site.

I was there last night coming from an amazing Wine Degustation at La Cava of El Querandi, premium Tango Show and Restaurant in town, and heading to La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar, a molecular concept restaurant featuring 16 steps, but no worries I will be posting about all this later on today. Come and visit San Telmo the old section of Buenos Aries. CM
