Frank’s Bar in Buenos Aires Got your code.?
Frank’s Bar in Buenos Aires got your code.? | Buenos Aires, Argentina | Last night, here in Buenos Aires looking for new, fun bars to check out, write about, and have a descent Dirty Vodka Martini… I came across Frank’s Bar in Palermo Hollywood. The concept of Speakeasy bar has arrived to Buenos Aires, and as for my understanding Frank’s is the only and first one doing it. A hidden main gate, a great looking bar and the surprise of a very avant-garde sex shop at the exit, in case you want to continue your night in high standards. The first question you will get is Do You Have the Code?, a concept that has been use and reused all over the world and has got a bit tired by now… but it is making its way in Buenos Aires. How do you get the code… ?

La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar
La Vineria de Gualterio Bolivar | Buenos Aires, Argentina | What comes to your mind when I say Molecular food ? Everyone loves to say that word but not many know the true meaning of it. So the other day when Chef Alejandro Digilio invited me to come and check his restaurant, which by the way everyone raves about, I asked him what type of food you guys specialize into…. and he replied Molecular Food in 16 Steps, and I said to my self Carlos you are in big trouble, I am a huge foodie and wine fan, therefore 16 Steps sounded like I was about to get a Molecular Food feast, without even knowing what it entitled.
SERENA Hotel Buenos Aires
SERENA Hotel Buenos Aires | Buenos Aires, Argentina | SERENA Hotel Punta del Este, has been for long time my favorite option at that destination, and over a year ago, they expanded with their second property to Buenos Aires nesting the Argentinean branch in the exclusive area of Recoleta over Libertad Street. I spent there the last 2 nights and here are a few comments based on my own experience. But one thing I would like to highlight right from the beginning is the excellent job they have done with the Spa/Sauna area on the ground floor, where space was planed, executed and used brilliantly, see photo below.

Well that is why El Querandi Tango has came to my rescue to give me the basic steps of my native dance.

Lapsang Souchong at tealosophy Buenos Aires
tealosophy Buenos Aires | Buenos Aires, Argentina | one of the many marks Thailand left on me was this love and appreciation for great teas, in fact this is my third month free of coffee and I must admit that I am feeling great. The other day during my breakfast at the Palacio Duhau Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, I tasted this amazing tea that not only impress by the taste, but by the smoked aroma and the dark brown color, and I could not get over it. To the point that I became quite known in the hotel, and everyone knew what to serve me before I even opened my mouth, yeah true Park Hyatt service. But going back to the tea, I began my search for this blend, I rather ever get so much interest on things, but this became an obsession. Now the problem was that I kept calling it Smoked Darjeeling, and I was dead wrong…. the true blend was Lapsang Souchong by tealosophy, a charming tea store with two locations in Buenos Aires, and also one in Barcelona, Spain. Lapsang Souchong, is a black tea originally from the Wuyi region of the Chinese province of Fujian, sometimes referred to as smoked tea. Lapsang is distinct from all other types of tea because lapsang leaves are traditionally smoke-dried over pinewood fires, taking on a distinctive smoky flavor. I have become addictive to it, and luckily enough seems that all luxury hotels in Buenos Aires too, since you can find tealosophy at most properties nowadays. (special thanks to Jorgelina at Park Hyatt Buenos Aires for the present by tealosophy, you are beyond excellence in service) CM
