One of the many jewels of our last visit to Bangkok, was without a doubt our two nights stay at the picture perfect The Siam Hotel. A hotel which holds a very special feeling to me, having seen it evolve from day one till final completion and full operation, and know many of the people involved in the project. But still I went through our stay with a very critic and avid eye, true to my commitment to all of you my followers. The first question I think raises when you even think to stay at this property, is WHY should I stay at a hotel located so far from the traditional attractions and happening of Bangkok. And to my surprise this exact question is the one the management use as their strength, The Siam brings to you a different Bangkok. Serene, lush in natural beauty, yet quite simple are the nouns to describe this hotel.
Last night upon arrival back in Bangkok from the Golden Triangle, we Checked IN at the exclusive The Siam Hotel. Many have questioned this hotel over the last few month since opening, due to its remote location compared to other luxury hotel options in Bangkok. Well my full position on this and more to come soon upon check out.
The Siam Hotel Bangkok almost ready to open | Bangkok, Thailand | The soon to be open The Siam Hotel Bangkok is almost finished and ready to welcome their first guests in less than 63 days. Yesterday Jason Friedman – General Manager, welcomed me and a selected group of the LGBT Press and Travel Professionals to show us this stunning hotel which will change the concept of luxury and hospitality in Bangkok. Rooms will range from USD 400 on. The Siam Hotel is the first hotel in Asia to be signed by Virtuoso previous opening, mostly due to Friedman’s successful career as a hotelier and administration of previous leading properties, such as the Four Seasons Tented Camp Golden Triangle.

At Issaya Siamese Club, Kittichai incorporates modern Thai cuisine and style with a relaxed atmosphere of lounge, bar, hip garden party vibe – all in an historical 1920s Thai home and its tropical gardens in central Bangkok. The concept and cuisine is certain to excite sensibilities that crave exceptional Thai dishes, artful unique ambience, and exceptional experiences.
Hotel Check IN at Siam Bayshore in Pattaya | Pattaya, Thailand | One of the things you must make 100% sure when you visit to Pattaya, is to find a hotel that will guarantee you comfort and cleanliness, access to main areas, a nice outdoor pool, and most important quietness away from the night scene and craziness of this party town. I personally think that the beach options in Pattaya are not the best in the Gulf of Thailand, and not even close to those on the Andaman Sea, but I understand, it is indeed a great option for those travelers on the budget, those with only a few days to explore Thailand, and more so for those looking to party and had a great time. So choosing your hotel based on the beach location, I would say it is irrelevant. I chose the Siam Bayshore Resort for multiple reasons, over Pattaya Beach and only a few blocks away from the pier and the famous Walking Street. I have been to their property in Bangkok, the Siam City Hotel and I had a great experience, so that made me fully comfortable to stay with them.
Hotel Check IN at Siam City Hotel in PhayaThai Bangkok | Bangkok, Thailand | Another great four-stars property in Bangkok, I would say with a big plus heading to five, this time by the Siam Group. Great value for price, right in the area of PhayaThai, with direct access to the BTS SkyTrain and to the Airport Express Link. If you can stretch a bit your budget, hit for the special Executive floors, and enjoy panoramic views of the city of Bangkok, and use of the Executive lounge for breakfast, lounge and afternoon cocktails. Free WiFi access.
Hotel Check IN Siam Kempinski Bangkok | Bangkok, Thailand | Since yesterday I have been here at the fantastic and glamorous Siam Kempinski Bangkok, which I must admit is ranking now on the TOP 05 of my favorite hotel in Bangkok. The hotel is located in the area of Pathumwan over Rama I Road. Very convenient location next to the SkyTrain and the Siam Paragon Shopping Center. Great oasis in the middle of the city of Bangkok, with a beautiful central pool. Rooms are very comfortable, and the feature I love the most are the open bathroom and the views to the pool and gardens.
Customer Feedback Heitor Drapier enjoying Thailand | Amsterdam, Netherlands | It makes me so happy when I receive this messages from either my followers or clients. Heitor and his long time partner chose Thailand as their Christmas and New Years Holidays destination, visiting Bangkok and Phuket. I was more than happy to assist them and pass all the info I was able to gather during my two month stay in Amazing Thailand. Experiential Travel at its best, this is the new and only way to travel, by the hand of experts. Special thanks to everyone at the Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok and in particular to the Public Relations team. Sipim, you are the best. CM
Carlos Melia LIVE from Koh Samet Island | Koh Samet, Thailand | Escaping from all the craziness of Pattaya, which I must say although being a very much fun destination, it is not my type of idea of a relaxing time at the beach. So I did some research on my options around this area, and thanks to the recommendations of a few local friends and the concierge at the Siam Bayshore Hotel, I came up with two options Koh Samet and Koh Chan. Being Koh Samet the closest one to Pattaya, and THB 1200 after, I was on my way to this beautiful island in the Gulf of Thailand.
And we are back in New York, after spending two AMAZING weeks in Thailand, planning and producing Rubin Singer’s Fashion Shows in Bangkok and Koh Samui. Always a treat to spend time in Thailand, a country I carry close to my heart and always draws a BIG smile in my face. So many old and new friends there, could not be happier. On this trip, my fifth time in Thailand, we visited and spent time in Bangkok, Golden Triangle and Koh Samui. OMG so many photos and videos to share, that will take me forever, therefore I decided to do this summary of our time there. You can read more on the individual posts I have been doing pre/post and will do after our stay at the category Thailand. (photo above at the Four Seasons Koh Samui, where we were hosted for a full relaxing day having spa treatments and lunch at the beach)
