BRAND NEW La Réserve Hotel & Spa | Paris, France | La Réserve Hotel & Spa, the brand new hotel by the Michel Reybier Hospitality, has opened its doors weeks ago in Paris, and I was lucky to be invited to do a walk-around followed by a lovely lunch at their featured restaurant Le Gabriele. Sister property to my usual headquarters in Paris, the La Réserve Luxury Apartments in Trocadero, brining a new concept of exclusivity and sophistication, located at a very peaceful and tres chic section of the city of lights, off Av des Champs-Elysees flanked by Avenue Matignon and the fashionable Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore at 42 avenue Gabriel.
My morning began at the door steps of my apartment in Trocadero at La Réserve Paris Apartments with the lovely view of the Eiffel Tower. Only 20 minutes took me walking along Avenue Kleber, Champs-Elysees and Avenue Montaigne, on a GORGEOUS Spring morning.
La Réserve Hotel & Spa – Hotel and Spa overlooks the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower, the Pantheon and the Concorde obelisk. Just in front, a majestic curtain of trees preserves the intimacy of this place, like an echo of the Elysée gardens nearby. A 19th century private apartment, transformed into a luxury hotel by Leading Hotels of the World and the expertise of Michel Reybier Hospitality, where ultra-personalized services can be enjoyed in complete simplicity and discretion.
Spaces bathed in light, barely muted by the rich fabrics of the hangings. Scattered here and there are beautiful marble fireplaces, and everywhere the joy of vast indoor spaces, typical of Haussmann-style apartments. The noble and generous materials exude a forgotten spirit of generosity. More suites than rooms, a library reserved for guests and their friends, a smoking lounge, a 16-meter indoor pool (a rarity in Paris), wine cellars in the suites, an inner courtyard with lush greenery echoing the landscaped entrance. At La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa, you experience the quintessence of Parisian chic in the Belle Époque.
The 26 suites and 14 rooms at La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa offer a refined reflection of the quintessence of 19th century Parisian chic. Silk hung walls, damascene brocade taffeta, velvet drapes, waffle weave fabrics, herringbone oak parquet, unique pieces of antique furniture… Rooms are spacious and the atmosphere can be adapted at will thanks to an interactive tablet that controls the TV, the temperature and the lighting. The bathrooms in Carrara and Turquin blue marble are equally spacious and mostly bathed in natural light.
The Grand Palais Suite, the largest suite in this urban mansion offers a magical panoramic view over the most beautiful buildings in Paris. Beyond the gardens of the Champs-Elysées, the glass dome of the Grand Palais, the golden gleam of the Alexander III Bridge, the Eiffel Tower… to be admired from one of the many windows or the balcony of the suite. This over 225 m2 suite consists of two spacious sitting rooms, two private bars, a wine cellar offering great vintages, two bedrooms each equipped with a dressing room and bathroom entirely made of Carrara marble and featuring a bath tub overlooking the most prestigious Parisian landmarks, along with an Italian shower and double basin.
All common and private areas are beautifully conceptualized and decorated. Beginning by the stunning and rich Lobby area. Following to the private library, and the smoking/cigar room, both only available for hotel guests.
Set around the 16-meter indoor pool are just three treatment rooms, a fitness area with a sports coach and a steam room, creating a peaceful atmosphere. Disconnecting from the daily grind, preserving youthfulness… In the spa, the Nescens-Swiss Anti-aging Science brand offers an exclusive range of treatments for men and women, including better-aging massages and anti- age cosmeceutics.
In a capital as stimulating as Paris when it comes to gastronomy, La Réserve Paris – Hotel and Spa rises ably to the challenge with its restaurant, Le Gabriel, offering contemporary French cuisine inspired by the seasons. Your first stop will be Le Bar, where you can enjoy and impressive collection of wines, vintage and customized cocktails by the fireplace. Like I did with my classic Filthy Vodka Martini.
Restaurant Le Gabriel, in homage to Avenue Gabriel, offers reinterpretation of the great classics. The French contemporary cuisine of Le Gabriel restaurant borrows culinary inspiration from all over the world, to offer an exquisite take on the great classics.
