QUINTONIL Restaurant

QUINTONIL RestaurantQUINTONIL Restaurant  | Mexico City, Mexico  |  As I have mentioned on my Instagram over and over, I was great surprised by the Gourmet and Restaurant scene of Mexico City, reminding me of Barcelona. QUINTONIL Restaurant by young Mexican chef Jorge Vallejo and restauranteur Alejandra Flores . One mention. Did you know that Mexico City hosts two of the top 100 Restaurants in the world and 5 of the top 50 Latin American Restaurants ?. My early evening began at 7PM at my suite at the St Regis Mexico City, sipping chilled Veuve Clicquot enjoying the lovely views over Paseo de la Reforma and Bosqie de Chapultepec. And I say early evening, because the only booking I managed to get at QUINTONIL was at 8PM and for an hour. This is how popular this restaurant has become. Ranked number 10 on the list of TOP 50 Best Restaurants in Latin America.
QUINTONIL Restaurant
QUINTONIL RestaurantQUINTONIL RestaurantLocated in Mexico City’s upmarket Polanco foodie district, Quintonil has quickly established itself as one of the capital’s star restaurantsA very humble but beautiful restaurant, where the star, as it should be, is the cuisine and the presentation of each dish. The use of indigenous ingredients and local foods from artisan producers, is the signature of this property in homage to it name QUINTONIL, a Mexican herb.

The Quintonil menu is designed to strike a bal- ance between each recipe’s nutritional value and flavor harmonies. Quintonil’s is an expressive kitchen whose objective is a healthy experience that celebrates and transmits flavor via a deep respect for each ingredient. My choices were: Amuse-Bouche by the chef to open the palate + Smoked Marlin in green sauce, purslane, fennel and guacamole + Panfried Turkey in date mole, snow peas, pure and caramelized carrots + Mamey Panna Cotta, sweetened corn crumble and mamey seed ice cream.
