Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia

Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia by www.carlosmeliablog.comCathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia  |  I just got back to New York after two amazing weeks in Asia, producing fashion shows and events for my partner, RUBINSINGER, in Singapore and Thailand. We flew from/to New York to/from Hong Kong, connecting to Singapore, on Cathay Pacific Business Class. It was such a great, relaxing and enjoyable experience. Their attentive flight attendants are always nearby to make sure your journey is a pleasant one. New Business Class experience for a total flight time was 16 hours to Hong Kong, with a brief connection of less than two hours, and then onwards 3 hours and a half to Singapore.

Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia by www.carlosmeliablog.comBOEING 777-300ER JET from/to NYC to to/from HKG was full flat bed, fantastic award-wining Studio CX entertainment system with 15.4 wide screens, two meals with a nice but short selection of wines. The configuration was 1/2/1.  28 cm (11 inches) of travel. Move the seat back for privacy or forward to converse with your traveling companion. A precision toggle allows you to adjust the seat position to fit your mood and posture. Fully flat bed is just over 2 metres (82 inches) long. A bed extension increases its width by 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) to provide additional hip support, while the side storage compartment offers extra knee space for sleeping on your side. For sleeping, you may choose to leave your armrest up for more privacy, or down for more space. You will also appreciate the increased personal storage space. The side cabinet houses not only your headset and a vanity mirror, but has room for small items such as glasses and gadgets – and the cabinet door doubles as a privacy divider. A touch of a button opens the 15.4 inch touch-screen personal TV with Audio and Video on Demand. Award-winning StudioCX features a rotating library of 100 movies, 500 TV shows, 888 music CDs, 22 radio channels, and 70 games – and with 10 languages represented, you’re sure to find something you enjoy. A noise-cancelling headset assures a more enjoyable listening experience. Your entertainment control panel now includes a Multi-port Connector that lets you connect your own electronic devices, including the iPod and iPhone,* and stream audio and video content to your personal TV display – which you control through your own device. There is also a USB port for charging mobile devices. Was disappointed thought with the very basic inflight amenity kit, featuring products by Jurlique.

Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia by www.carlosmeliablog.comAIRBUS INDUSTRIE A333 JET from/to HKG to/from SIN was very comfortable as well with wide seats, only reclining 60%. Same entertainment system, but this time on smaller screens. Their new Regional Business Class was designed to be a comfortable personal space where you can relax, read, watch TV, work, dine or nap. A premium cabin, contemporary feel, and the sense of space. Seats are 21 inches wide, with an extended legrest and an innovative cradle recline for total relaxation. The wide seat, 6 way headrest that offers fully adjustable support for your head and neck, and generous legroom lets you find a variety of positions to make your flight as comfortable as possible – and the fixed shell design of your seat ensures your space remains your own. The configuration on this aircraft was 2/2/2. A larger-than-ever meal table and a cocktail table give you more space for working or enjoying our delicious selection of food and beverages. No inflight amenity kit was distributed during this flight.

Cathay Pacific Business Class to/from Asia by www.carlosmeliablog.comAs for the lounges, all offered showers. The best experience was of course at their own HUB in Hong Kong, where I strongly recommend visiting The Wing. The Terraces lounge in New York at JFK was basic, and The Skyview Lounge in Singapore, was very poor and not leaving up to their standards nor their Business Class product.
