LE CINQ Lunch at Four Seasons George V

Le Cinq Restaurant at Four Seasons George V Paris by www.carlosmeliablog.comLE CINQ Lunch at Four Seasons George V  |  Paris, France  |  If there is and iconic F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S hotel in Paris. without a doubt and second guess, is the Four Seasons George V, off Avenue George V and meters away Champs-Élysées and the Arc de Triomphe. I came invited to do a site inspection of the property, but of course being Fashion Week, the hotel was SOLD OUT, and I only got to glance one of their Premier Suites, which BTW was lovely. I did a walk through the spa and common areas, all ornamented by stunning flower arrangements, signature of Four Seasons, followed by drinks at Le Bar overlooking Le Galerie and lunch at two Michelin-stars restaurant Le Cinq.

The tablecloths, china and silver were all created specifically for this legendary Hotel. Menus draw on classic French culinary techniques and also embrace newer, lighter cooking styles, always incorporating the freshest regional ingredients. A three hours, three steps lunch by Chef des Cuisines, Meilleur Ouvrier de France Eric Briffard, in a warm and intimate atmosphere bathed by sunlight from the inner gardens.

Traditional French and English furniture, guests can admire two beautiful Louis XIVth wardrobes as well as two Louis XVIth gold gilt chairs. Large Regency Style wood-scuplted mirrors with gold leafing give a depth to this space by reflecting the view of the Marble Courtyard on the opposite side. Two very large Regency Style pier tables separate the main room from the guest table that seats between eight to ten.

Cotes du Rhone Pontcin 2011 Chateau Grillet. And of course plenty of Amuse Bouche and delights sent to the table from the kitchen, along a special digestive water from the Black Forest.
