Rock of Ages Las Vegas

Rock of Ages Las Vegas by www.carlosmeliablog.comRock of Ages Las Vegas  |  Las Vegas, United States  |  Following my four reports on the shows I saw during my last visit to Las Vegas, Rock of Ages ranked second as my favorite production along the Vegas Strip. Fun, engaging, well performed, and entertaining, although being the longest show I’ve seen ever in Las Vegas. Rock of Ages plays at The Venetion Resort & Casino. For those of you not familiar with the story,  Rock of Ages tells the story of Drew, a boy from South Detroit and Sherrie, a small-town girl, both in L.A. to chase their dreams of making it big and falling in love. Rock of Ages takes you back to the times of big bands with big egos playing big guitar solos and sporting even bigger hair! See my reviews on the other shows: Michael Jackson ONE, ZARKANA and ANSINTHE. Just a little warning and constructive criticism to all Las Vegas Strip shows, in particular to Cirque du Soleil. Sometimes having seven OK shows at the same time, does not equal to having one that is GREAT. And to the rest in general, well I felt most shows lacked of energy, and they all felt over-rehearsed, where you could tell the cast had to perform twice a day, at least 6 days a week. You know like when you go horseback ridding, and the horse walks knowing by hard the way to go, and you are just there pretending…. well that is how I felt. But hey shaded me right.
