Four Seasons Buenos Aires NEW LOOK

Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.comFour Seasons Buenos Aires NEW LOOK  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina |  Four Seasons Buenos Aires has recently undergone a 30 million dollars renovation, and for that I came to spend two nights to experience first hand the before and after. Situated in the heart of Buenos Aires’ exclusive La Recoleta district, Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires, is within my TOP five Must-Stay-Experiences of Buenos Aires, and after their recent face lift, they are ranking even higher, with a fresh modern look, new dinning option, and more to come soon, setting themselves away from former semi-Hyatt look and feel, owning the contemporary signature Four Seasons identity. Keep in mind this few concepts: Polo, Horses, Leather, soft earthy palette, deep ocean shades of blue.
Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.com Renovation not only came in hand with decoration and style, but more in-sync with the international identity Four Seasons is implementing globally, aiming to a more friendly, welcoming experience, while conservative and traditional in style, sophistication and amenities.
Elena Restaurant at Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.com One of my absolute favorite additions to the new look and concept of the Four Seasons Buenos Aires, are both Elena Restaurant and PonyLine Bar, replacing the former restaurant and the traditional Tea/Piano Room Le Dome. Named for Elena Peña Unzué, Elena guests will find a broad selection of the meats beloved by locals and abundant fresh seafood. Expertly prepared on the rotisserie, mains are accompanied by lushly presented seasonal vegetables. The interesting fact is that both restaurant and bar, have their own street access, independent from the hotel, a trend Four Seasons is incorporating to most properties worldwide, reaching out not only to the international travelers, but also the mixture with the local community. Read More

Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.comOne of my least favorite additions was the Lobby and Front Desk area. But hey, this is just my point of view. Glam, maybe a bit to much shimmer to my taste. Was not quite captivated by the color scheme, furniture or materials. Blown glass, precious stones and lots of shimmer, resembling styles you would see in top luxury hotels in Dubai. There is a a dominating blue color, representing the color of the Argentinean flag.

We spend two night at one of their brand new lovely Preferred Four Seasons Executive Suites, which provide guests with added amenities and services, such as access to The Library, which serves daily complimentary non-alcoholic beverages and coffee from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. These guest rooms provide a beautiful view of either La Mansión or the Recoleta neighbourhood and city in the distance. On the video above you can see the new look of the rooms. Below you can see the look of the Junior Suite I stayed at in 2012.

Total facelift  and improvements. A total new look on the hallways. New softer color palette, furniture, carpets. Upgraded opulent Marble bathroom, tub with whirlpool and a separate shower. French doors separate the living area and oversized bedroom, which features its own walk-in closet. Enjoy stunning views of either La Mansión or the surrounding Recoleta neighbourhood from the seventh and eighth floors of the tower.

Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.com Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.comI truly was very happy with the look and feel of all Suites and Rooms, featuring sophisticated style, local materials and warm textures. Here is the new look of an entry level room type. Suites benefit from a skillful blend of modern and traditional, with details like leather-upholstered headboards and antique sunburst mirrors in gold-leaf finish.

Four Seasons Buenos Aires by www.carlosmeliablog.comRenovations are always a plus, and we were able to experience this during our stay at the main building of the Four Season Buenos Aires, but hoping you agree with me, classics should always remain untouched, while well maintain and ready for demanding travelers. Example of this is La Mansion by Four Seasons Buenos Aires, which still maintains its traditional flair and style.

New furniture, new color palette, new art, lovely carpets, full marble bathrooms with state-of-the-art HD mirror TVs, but again something remains the same, … the amazing signature Four Seasons mattresses you can enjoy worldwide. There is plenty more to come, we were not able to see since renovations are still taking place, just to name a few: the outdoors restaurant which will be part of a lovely Glass House, a brand new Spa and Fitness Center, a cigar room and a outdoor terrace right on top of the lobby entrance. So stay tuned for much more.
