Wild River Rafting at Urubamba River | Sacred Valley, Peru | One of the things I most enjoy doing during the day is Adventure Travel. Those of you that follow me closely know my slogan… …” Travel by day as an Adventurer, and travel by night as a Queen…”. So when proposed me to do wild water rafting on the waters of the Urubamba River, I could not be more thrilled and excited. I mean follow the Inca’s path by the water, can get better than that. Rafting Level II and III. Not the wildest one I have done around the globe, but the views and scenery are truly unmatchable.
Unfortunately I did not bring my underwater camera with me, so I could not do any photos or videos of the rough sections of our journey, and there were quite a few, that shacked the zodiac more than once.
A different way to explore the Sacred Valley, observe ancient Inca constructions and terraces been used to grow their crops and products. The whole tour took approximately 2 hours, but I must say that it flew by ver very fast, leaving us all wanting more. But at the same time, happy to retire back to my hotel the Belmond Rio Sagrado to enjoy a lovely lunch outdoors next to the river.
Oh and a little token… well I cannot get over my love for dogs, and this time Jerry totally made my morning with his obsession for chasing stones right into the water. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com
