The London NYC Hotel

The London NYC Hotel  |  New York, United States  |  Following my research on Luxury Stays in New York City for Locals or Foreigners, I checked in yesterday at The LONDON NYC Hotel. Prior to my stay, I had been many times for dinner or cocktails at their restaurant MAZE by celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay, and was looking forward to see their Suites and to experience them. The lobby of the hotel is already impressive, and the Silk panel behind the Check IN area is just striking.  The LONDON Hotel is an All-Suites hotel starting at 500 sq feet. Spacious and luxurious suites, modern and with breathtaking views of the city and the Central Park.  Proportions: from 500 square feet. Bedding with luxurious Filli d’oro Italian linens and hand-woven throws. Living room with oversized work desk and stylish seating. French doors dividing the rooms. Luxury Waterworks bath environment with oversized shower and dual shower head. Complimentary in-room high-speed Internet access, including wireless. iHome docking stations for iPods. Automated personal bar. Two flat-screen LCD televisions. In-room safe. The bathrooms are very nice, rather narrow, but I really liked the white concept and the dual shower feature.
My only comments about the room are: (1) the air conditioning in the room was a bit loud, making some weird noise all night long. (2) the closet area is a bit small and not very practical. I would imagine that due to the style of suite/apartment, they do get long stays, and the closets are tiny. (3). This morning we had breakfast in the room. I felt it was a bit overpriced USD 80 per person for omeletes, toasts, grape juice and tea. But I guess is the price you have to pay to have breakfast in bed at the 36th floor overlooking the Central Park… or maybe not ?

The building has 54 floors and of course the higher you go, the better the view. My Vista Suite offered exceptional views and spacious dimensions. Sweeping views of Central Park, the Hudson River, or classic Manhattan skyline — vistas that truly define the city. With the idea of marrying style with substance, each suite is a modern take on classic elegance.
The Health Club, located on the 4th floor, is impeccable, rivaling any other gym in the city. The hotel health club combines exercise and wellness with distinctive design, rigor and amenities. Guests have 24-hour access to the club to enjoy a cutting-edge and invigorating fitness experience. Kinesis Wall, extensive selection of free weights.
I truly enjoyed my stay at The LONDON NYC, located right on 54th Street in between 7th and 6th Avenue. Not the sexiest location in town, but yet very convenient to Broadway, restaurants, bars and major attractions in the city. I would definitely recommended to my clients in the future. If you book this property with me, I can guarantee extra VIP amenities such as: Continental Breakfast for two Daily in The London Bar or MAZE by Gordon Ramsey (excluding room service) + Lunch for two at MAZE by Gordon Ramsey, Once per Stay (excluding room service) and the following amenities are subject to availability at the time of check-in/departure: Upgrade + Early Check-In, 12:00 PM + Late Check-Out, 4:00 PM. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
