The House Hotels my favorites in Istanbul | Istanbul, Turkey | If you are looking for the premium boutique, design, chic hotel experience while in Istanbul, then you should choose The House Hotels, with their three locations in the city, all on the European side: Nisantasi, Galatasaray and Bosphorus. Each unique, and true to the area they are located and represent. During my stay, I spend my nights at the two properties in Galatasaray (my ultimate favorite) and Nisantasi.
The House Hotel Galatasaray, a charming Istanbul four-storey mansion built in 1890′s. The hotel has undergone a complete renovation of the highest quality by internationally acclaimed and multi-awarded winner Autoban Design firm, retaining many original features such as a fabulous marble staircase and a reception area. The boutique hotel has 20 large, design and elegant rooms with a lounge bar on the top floor, which offers outstanding views of downtown Istanbul and The Galata Tower. The House Hotel Galatasaray is ideally located between the Bosphorus and Istiklal Avenue in the old district of Cukurcuma. For me was one of the best locations of my stay in Istanbul, and the real experience I was expecting from this city. Safe to walk around at night and very close to Taksim square, the Golden Horn and the historical peninsula of Sultanahmet.
My Junior Suite was just PERFECT. The balance between modern and old style, the touches of class with the chandeliers, light concept and finishing. I must admit that the shower in the room was not my favorite feature. The bathroom nevertheless was huge, comfortable and all finished in marble. Room vary from 25 to 36 sq meters, and all come with king size pillow-top bed, goose down duvet & pillows, marble bathroom with rain shower, L’Occitane bathroom amenities, bathrobe & slipper, custom-design furniture, living room space with sofa, LCD Satellite TV with international channels, 2.5 m ceiling with special design panel, air-conditioning, working desk, in-room safe, minibar and wine display, complimentary wifi internet access and complimentary espresso/tea set-up.

To be mentioned is the Lounge located on the top floor, with stunning views of the old city of Istanbul, and some of the domes from the mosques. Here is where you will have your breakfast every morning, or enjoy a glass of wine in the afternoon, followed by light snacks.
The House Hotel Nisantasi, located in Istanbul’s most fashionable district, Nisantasi, home of all the famous internationally recognized couture brands and the preferred place for shopping, dining and clubbing. The House Hotel Nisantası features 45 rooms and deluxe suites in 7 floors designed by Turkish designer Autoban, famous for using natural forms and creating modern classics. This hotel has been recommended by Conde Nast Traveler Hot List 2011 as one of the best hotels in Europe.
My Junior Suite was stunning. Perfect size, style. color palette. The widows system with moving panels is very well though and provides with a full light and sound proof.
Complete different location, style, design and concept than the previous property, gave me the option to live and experience two different sides and personalities of Istanbul. Rooms and Suites go from 25 to 41 sq meters, featuring all the amenities classic to The House Hotel properties, mentioned above. Nisantasi is the new face of Istanbul, surrounded by world-class restaurants, international brands and cafes. To be compared to Madison Avenue in New York City.

As for The House Hotel Bosphorus, I did not have enough nights while in Istanbul, so I was not able to stay, but I saw the property, which BTW is located right next to the Bosphorus Bridge, that links Asia with Europe, with breathtaking views of the Bosphorus and next to the hip area of Ortakoy. A pending on my list, for my next visit to my new TOP 05 favorite cities in the world. Just a few words that define this last property, landmark Simon Kalfa building and the historical mansion next to it built in the 19th century. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
