Eccleston Square Hotel London urban cocoon cutting-edge technology

Eccleston Square Hotel London urban cocoon cutting-edge technology  |  London, UK  |  Most of the times prejudice plays bad influences on our thought, and we tend to underestimate things based on size, first impressions and location. This is what happened with me an the lovely Eccleston Square Hotel in London. From the minute I saw it from the distance, I saw a charming boutique hotel, located across a the quiet Eccleston Square. As I walk thought the door, I saw the modern lavish designed lobby and the intimate restaurant Bistrot on the Square. So I said to myself, OK I will have a safe comfortable stay, in a traditional sophisticated English Boutique hotel, and do not get me wrong, I was more than fine and happy with that, but I am always looking for more for an edge.

Eccleston Square Hotel has opened as London’s most High Tech hotel and is a proud member of Design Hotels. Bordering Belgravia in the heart of Central London SW1, this luxury hotel sits on an award-winning garden square, close to creative and chic fashion shops, galleries and a myriad of stylish restaurants and bars as well as famous landmarks such as Buckingham Palace.

The rooms have been inspired and influenced by the super yacht cabin style. B&B Italia wood finishes, Brinton’s Axminster carpets to statutario Italian marble and light grey silk wallpaper against dark grey full height drapes, each element has been individually selected to complement the surroundings. I have seen hotels around the world, I have experience cutting edge technology, before, but I have never seen the SmartGlass Walls the Eccleston Square Hotel has, as I showed you on the video above.
So I found the edge at this hotel, and it is on the HIGHT TECH that it offers, the perfect fusion of old meets new. An ‘urban cocoon’ with cutting-edge technology in every room. High ceilings and enormous original windows dominate throughout the building, Black Murano glass chandeliers and Promemoria furnishings provide a tasteful yet sumptuous feel.
Each room features: Luxurious King / Queen Sized Beds from Swedish firm Hästens, makers of the world’s best beds – fully electronically adjustable with variable massage settings. State of the art 46” Full HD 3D NeoPlasma TV’s by Panasonic. Immersive Surround Sound Experience. iPod Docking station. Ultimate in Entertainment on demand with 3D movies delivered complimentary to your room. Complimentary High Speed Wireless Internet. Unlimited Complimentary Nespresso, with your personal Nespresso machine. VoIP Phones – Free calls to London numbers and world wide VoIP calls at VoIP cost. Your personal iPad 2, through which you can browse the internet, order room service, or even book a session with a personal trainer. An unusually low priced mini bar – for you to enjoy.
Stunning marble bathrooms, all with under floor heating, high pressure Rainfall shower, handheld shower and Massage shower. Deluxe Shower Products, by L’Occitane. XXL fluffy towels, ultra soft bathrobes and slippers. Flatscreen bathroom TV concealed within the steam proof mirrors. Although I must admit that I would have preferred the shower to fully close to avoid the water being all over the floor once finished, which actually can be rather dangerous on the wet white marble surface.
The restaurant, Bitrot on the Square, is the same where you will enjoy an exclusive , sophisticated and intimate dinner overlooking the Eccleston Square, is the same where the following morning you will enjoy your breakfast A la Carte. Authentic, high quality and affordable French Bistrot dining in a relaxed and informal environment. decorated in muted greys, white and black; with a striking feature fireplace, theatrical crystal chandeliers and contemporary leather and wood-panelled walls. I will be fully fair on my comments, the Restaurant has just opened recently, and like good wines, I think it needs to settle and grow to show it true spirit. Charming, intimate, sophisticated room, but they still need to work on the service and the final product on the table. But without a doubt, on my next visit to London, I will stop by for another dinner, and be more than happy to adopted as a regular, since I was mesmerized by its charm, location, intimacy and style.
