AWAY in Istanbul will be back shortly | Istanbul, Turkey | Hi there everyone, greetings from Istanbul, where I have been for the last 4 days. Came all the way from Berlin, thanks to the support of Lufthansa, to explore this destination for the first time. Not being lazy, just too busy and staying away of the WiFi to further explore the area and highlights to later share it with all of you. In the meantime, time permit I will be posting some videos, like the one above from yesterday. Private yacht by Interlimousine, sailing along the Bosphorus, channel that separates Asia from Europe connected by two main bridges, and links the path in between the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara. I will be posting more on my late trips to Germany, Turkey and my next week in London and rest of England. In the meantime, you may follow me day to day subscribing to my Facebook Profile, where I am continuously posting photos and videos.
As for today, I will be meeting Murat Renay, a Turkish gay writer, who has already published 2 interesting books. He will talk on gay issues such as being gay in Turkey, human rights, homophobia etc. Lunch at the AMAZING Ciragan Palace Kempinski. Later meeting Anil & Sakir, a Turkish gay couple, owners of the straight friendly Frappe Istanbul Café Bar & Bistro and an interview on living as a gay couple in Istanbul and running a successful business. Meet Nejat Ünlü, General Coordinator of Positive Living Association (PLA) will also join us for an informal exchange of information and ideas about gay life in Turkey. Fine dinner at Suada Club-Galatasaray Island, hosting the most exquisite invitations in summer with Mrs. Elif Balci Fisunoglu General Manager of ICVB – Istanbul Convention & Exhibition Center. And finally check-in at THE HOUSE HOTEL Galatasaray. Long long day, but loving Istanbul. CM @ Carlos Melia Recommends
