Aldo’s Vinoteca Restoran Buenos Aires

Aldo’s Vinoteca Restoran Buenos Aires  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina | Let me start this post with a basic and straight THIS IS A KEEPER. If I would be leaving back in Buenos Aires, I would come to Aldo’s at least once a week. The concept is very basic, but at the same time unique, the star of the night are the wines, the Argentinean wines, which by the expert guidance of your sommelier, will be matched to perfection with your food choices. Located at the least expected area of San Telmo, below the Moreno Boutique Hotel, without a doubt after seven month of opening has become the hot spot of taste, cool ambiance and wine culture of Buenos Aires.
A team of Argentinean entrepreneurs have gather to build Aldo’s Vinoteca Restoran, with a touch and heritage from Casa Cruz Buenos Aires, and a esthetic that will bring you back to Balthazar or Locanda Verde in New York city. The New York Times said about Aldos’s …” newest, and perhaps most ambitious, wine-centric restaurant in Buenos Aires, featuring a 42-page wine list. Aldo Graziani, the owner, is a former vice president of the Argentine Sommeliers Association and he has assembled a staff of nine sommeliers for his new spot, the most, he says, of any Argentine restaurant…”.
Opens daily from 11AM on, very popular for either lunch or dinner. Lots of local people, tourists and a great mix of crowds. The welcoming warm ambiance, a mix between the old times and the modern touches, with wines lists on iPads. The main differentiating point of Aldo’s Vinoteca is that their extensive wine lists is priced as if you will get them from a local supermarket, turning Aldo’s into the cheapest wine deal in the city of Buenos Aires, while enjoying a high class experience, service and cuisine. But again remember the wine is the star of the night. Well I quite disagree, both my appetizer and main course were excellent. Aldo’s Vinoteca Restoran (Moreno 372, San Telmo – Tel. 5291-2380)
