Gay Weddings made in Thailand

Gay Weddings made in Thailand   |  Phuket, Thailand  |  I am entering my thirds week in Thailand, and so far I have been part of two gay weddings while here. First in Chiang Mai on the northern region and yesterday in Phuket Island. It seems that Thailand is becoming a very popular destination among Asians and Australians to come to tie the knot, and judging from what I experienced yesterday, hotels are coping pretty well with this new trend.

I mean who wouldn’t say I DO with this stunning view of the Andaman Sea and Kamala Bay right from The Lawn at Paresa Resort in Phuket. Like one of my followers wrote yesterday on my Facebook Wall, …” Carlos I would just marry you, to be there on that place…”. I will not be posting actual videos or photos of the ceremony, in respect to the privacy of the couple and this important day, but above is the setting for the main ceremony, which was magical, moving and romantic. As family and friends gathered around them, the sun was setting over the turquoise waters of the Andaman Sea and Groom and Groom saying I DO.
Once the ceremony was over, everyone moved down to the Infinity Pool area for some cocktails, followed by a candle dinner at the outdoors terrace overlooking Kamala Bay.  Not only Phuket, this country has so many breathtaking destinations, and prices are very reasonable and convenient compared to other destinations.

Mai Pen Rai, Thailand, Mai Pen Rai. This is the main local philosophy towards life, based on the Buddhist concepts or love and respect. Gay Marriage is not legalized in Thailand, but as many say and agree, there is no need for that, and I am a firm believer of that. All you need is a loving family, your life partner, a great group of friends to throw you a fantastic Bachelors night and a good lawyer, but that is for another discussion and a very personal position, where all opinions are valid. The point is that Thailand is taking over on the Gay Weddings and Honeymoons market in Asia, and legal papers involved you and your partner will be tied by law and the love of your family and friends.  So now you know, Groom+Groom or Bride+Bride, if you are planning to say I DO and tie the knot, do not hesitate to contact me. I will be more than happy to coordinate the plans for this special days, regardless of the destination on the world you choose. Now Thailand is definitely a keeper, to combine your ceremony and after honeymoon, and guaranteed that your guests will highly appreciate it. Carlos Melia Luxury Travel Curator – www.carlosmelia.com
