Cockfights still legal and popular in Thailand  |  Chiang Rai, Thailand  |  Yet today a very popular sport in Thailand, that not only takes the attention of many locals and tourists, but also makes some people lots of money. Since I arrived to Thailand, I have been interested on these beautiful baskets, which I thought were for fishing or something like that. Today my tour guide explained me the real use of them, that the fanaticism of locals for watching roosted (cocks) fight.
I will pass on further reviewing this activity, since I consider it a bloody sport. But I realize that some people might be interested on this as a typical thing to be seen and experienced while in Thailand. Two roosted fighting with each other on a ring or cockpit. CM
