Ridding the TRAM in Manchester

Ridding the TRAM in Manchester  |  Manchester, UK  |  Moving around Manchester is very easy, and the tram Metrolink system is one the top options. Greater Manchester’s Metrolink network is one of the most successful light rail systems in the UK, carrying nearly 20 million passengers every year. There are three lines which run from Bury, Altrincham and Eccles into Manchester city centre. A network of 37 stops covering 37 km (23 miles). A fleet of 32 trams served the existing network until December 2009 when the first of our new trams was introduced.  The size of the network is being increased, with four new lines, a fleet of new, state-of-the-art trams, new ticket machines and improved passenger facilities and information. We took the Tram to go to/from Piccadilly Gardens station to MediCityUK, the brand new modern waterfront district of Manchester City. FYI one of my favorite areas of this city.  CM
