The Standard Hotel New York City

The Standard Hotel New York City |   Meatpacking District, New York City |  Trendy (yes, just by seating at the lobby or at any of their multiple bars and restaurant you get the feeling of that), Great Locations (yes, right of the High Line and in the heart of the Meatpacking District, meters away from the Hudson River Park), Hot Spot (yes, New York debauchery, with the former Boom Boom Room, Standard Grill Restaurant and the new Le Bain Discotheque and Roof Top Bar), Would I stay there (yes, for all the previous reasons…) I would stay to experience trendy/young/cool/fashionable Manhattan, but not quire sure if I am am too crazy about the rooms concept.

Hey do not get me wrong…. it is a great hotel with a fantastic style and concept, but I am not quite sure if I enjoy that particular design. A mix between modern American, high tech Swedish and traditional Japanese, maybe I got a bit confused. More so with the feature of having the bathrooms incorporated (literally) in the room. Now I have to say that the views not only are AMAZING and breathtaking, but also sexy as hell, no wonder why the hotel is famous for guest having sex on the windows while the rest of New York watches from the distance. So I heard !!!!
I would not mind at all to have this bathtub incorporated into my room, but that if you have between USD 800 to USD 1100 to pay for their own interpretation of a suite. (all three pictures above).
All rooms feature their own Standard amenities, FREE Internet access (very rare for NY Hotels) and medium size full equipped gym with panoramic views of the Hudson River. (picture above and below this paragraph Standard Room which ranges from USD 290 on… ). Standard rooms have all views to the city. The next category are the Deluxe rooms with views to the Hudson River.
