Located overlooking the glittering Victoria Harbour, our hotel has been the centre of Hong Kong’s social and business scene since 1963. Following their recent redesign and through constant attention to detail, they offer the finest in 21st century luxury for travellers. Their reputation continues to endure with our legendary service.

Our 501 rooms and suites, featuring both Harbour or City views, were redesigned for the most possible space, with suites ranging from 44 square metres to 292 square metres. The sleek interiors incorporate contemporary luxuries and thoughtful ingenuities that will surprise even the seasoned traveller. A clever open plan design gives the greatest sense of space. The Oriental theme and selected materials gives a sense of place, of course Asia and of course Mandarin Oriental. Bathrooms offer spacious showers only and are recreated with travertine stone and Black Forest Chinese marble; the rooms provide a base of dignified warmth, with silken cognac drapes and honey leather club armchairs. The sophisticated entertainment and business technology comes with the full support of our IT butlers. Details to highlight are: Mirror Bathroom TV, old Asian style ice buckets, ultra comfortable sofas next to the windows to seat and enjoy the view while sipping a glass of champagne, Ipod docking station, Salvatore Ferragamo designer toiletries and guests will find a set of binoculars to enjoy the details of harbour life.
Their restaurants and bars have a legendary reputation amongst local society; they are such familiar rendezvous that their Clipper Lounge has even earned the epithet ‘Hong Kong’s living room’. Mandarin Oriental offers 10 bars and restaurants all distinct in character. You’ll find dramatic views and bold cuisine on their 25th floor, more intimate settings in The Chinnery and Captain’s Bar and a lively sophisticated atmosphere in Clipper Lounge and Cafe Causette on the Mezzanine. Just to mention a few of them… Man Wah (photo aboove) is Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s signature Cantonese restaurant and often referred to as Hong Kong’s most beautiful dining space due to its imperial splendor and panoramic views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong’s cityscape.
The M bar, is the buzzing epicenter of Hong Kong’s nightlife. Perched on the 25th floor, this stylish bar, which boasts stunning views, has established itself as one of the city’s favourite night time destinations. The Mandarin Grill + Bar, Long renowned as Hong Kong’s favourite dining room, the Mandarin Grill + Bar has retained its Michelin star for the second consecutive year. By talented Executive Chef, Uwe Opocensky, serves an exciting adaptation of grill specialties with a dash of progressive gastronomy. Pierre, This stunning two Michelin starred restaurant, situated on the 25th floor, is Pierre Gagnaire’s pied a terre in Hong Kong. Recipient of its second Michelin star in 2011, diners can expect outstanding modern French cuisine in a stunning environment.
Café Causette offers informal contemporary all-day dining, with something for everyone. The lively show-kitchens serve Asian and international dishes such as Nasi Goreng, Hainan Chicken Rice to The Mandarin Burger and pizza’s which are considered by locals as the best in town.
The Cake Shop, home to perfectly roasted coffee and luxurious hot chocolate that is served with its own chocolate spoon, The Mandarin Cake Shop has been delighting guests and local residents for over 25 years. Chef Yves Matthew offers homemade delicacies including pastries, chocolates, breads and incredible cakes, which are showcased alongside exquisite cake sculptures. Photo above is a comestible piece of art.

(for this last, be aware that you must prebook with at least two month in advance).Indoor swimming pool with flume jet. 24-hour Fitness Centre with high tech diagnostic equipment and Hong Kong’s first Kinesis studio.
What else can I say…. it is just SUPER and SOPHISTICATED. Even when drinking beer at the Captain’s Bar, famed for serving draught beer in silver tankards – regulars receive their own tankard engraved with their name – this has been a landmark in the city’s nightlife for over 45 years.
