Armani Ristorante 5th. Avenue |  New York, United States |  Simple, chic and classic with touches of modern style. Professional and friendly service, by hosts and waiters out of the pages of a fashion magazine, as it is expected by Armani standards. Lunch or dine facing over 5th. Avenue with views of the Central Park, that only if you are lucky enough or a regular to seat at one of the few corner tables available. And of course the MUST, after your exquisite gourmet experience, to continue exploring the Armani store.
I want personally and specially thank Elizabeth Whistler – Host Armani Ristorante – and Mechel Thompson – Concierge  Armani –  for hosting me and making me feel so welcome and comfortable during our lunch and visit to the store.
The Armani Ristorante 5th. Avenue is located on the 3rd floor of the Armani store, with access over both 5th. Avenue or 56th. Street (diner hours). Lunch, diner and Sunday brunch available. This internal white staircase is impressive and defines the design of the store.
Armani Ristorante forges a new form of dining experience. The dazzling modern glossy black and metal Italian decor combines with Lorenzo Viani‘s and his chef’s culinary inventions to communicate the personality and the believes of the distinctive Armani philosophy, an aesthetic vision that elegantly brings together elements of the past and the present.
In a place where innovative cuisine marries traditional Italian cuisine, guests will savour the wonders of exclusive dishes, and enjoy impeccable service and unique surroundings. The Armani Ristorante experience is exciting, elegant and relaxed.
Although the menu delivers authentically italian cuisine that includes meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, Lorenzo Viani is most famous for reaching levels of perfection in the cooking of seafood. My choices for lunch were:
Primi Piatti: RISOTTO ALLA PARMIGIANA, CON FIORI DI ZUCCA, Risotto with parmesan cheese and zucchini flowers. Secondi Piatti: BRANZINO SELVAGGIO AL FORNO CON CAPONATA, Oven-baked wild sea bass with potatoes and vegetables compote. All together with fabulous Italian white wine GAVI DI GAVI, VILLA SPARINA, 2007. Dolci: Degustation of IL TIRAMISU’ Tiramisu’ served with Sicilian oranges compote, and Ice Cream.
After our lunch, we were invited to taste the new line of Armani Dolci, where our host and Armani Concierge Mechel guided us through the different options and types of chocolates, pannetones and other sweets Armani offer now at only a few selected stores worldwide.
The Armani/Ristorante is a meeting place for gourmet enthusiasts to taste exceptional cuisine in a sophisticated, elegant and very friendly atmosphere.
